The Grand Est region has 27 listed campsites, 7 of which have verified off-season opening: these are the only ones presented here as open all year round or in winter. Five others close for several months, and fifteen state an opening that we have not confirmed. The Vosges account for most of the choice with 10 campsites, well ahead of the Ardennes (4), Meurthe-et-Moselle, the Meuse and the Moselle (3 each), and the Marne and Haute-Marne (2 each).
Five of the seven verified addresses are in the Vosges: the Domaine de Longemer in Xonrupt-Longemer, which clears the snow from 48 pitches and has a heated indoor pool, Le Haut des Bluches in La Bresse, a snow-caravan campsite at 710 m, Fraiteux near Plombières-les-Bains, the Camping municipal Le Violu in Gemaingoutte and Les Lacs in Celles-sur-Plaine, where only the gîtes stay open in winter. Le Haut des Bluches closes only from 8 November to 17 December 2026, and Fraiteux applies a spa-guest rate from 20 nights. These campsites mainly suit skiing, snowshoeing and spa treatments.
In the Moselle, the Langatte estate, around La Tour du Stock, offers chalets in low season, from January to early April and from November to mid-December, and a wellness centre open all year round, with heated pools, hammam and saunas. The huts close from November to March. In the Haute-Marne, the Camping municipal La Vallée in Rouvres-sur-Aube advertises year-round opening, dates to be confirmed, in the Forests National Park.
The Étangs de Mandre and Foxycamp in the Meuse, Val de Rhodes in the Moselle, the Ferme de la Croix Villière in the Ardennes and L’Hermitage in the Vosges open in spring and close in autumn. The Ardennes, the Marne and Meurthe-et-Moselle have no verified campsite: opening at Haulmé, Nogentel or Baccarat should be requested directly from the manager.
Start by choosing the département according to the activity you want: skiing in the Vosges, wellness in the Moselle, hiking in the Haute-Marne. Then ask for each accommodation's opening dates, heating and snow clearing, and book directly with the campsite.
In winter, the Grand Est is best discovered through the High Vosges: downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, sledging and snowshoeing around Xonrupt-Longemer and La Bresse, where a free winter bus serves the slopes. Plombières-les-Bains, Luxeuil and Bains-les-Bains form a spa hub, and the GR 531 trails follow the former border of 1871.
Further north, the Langatte estate focuses on bowling, swimming lessons and weekday aquabike. In the Forests National Park, near Rouvres-sur-Aube, hiking, Nordic walking and mountain biking are possible out of season, and Auberive abbey and the town of Langres can be visited 35 minutes from the campsite.
In spring and autumn, the seasonal addresses take over: the Calonne forest around Foxycamp, the Étang du Stock peninsula at Val de Rhodes, the farm visit at Neuville-Day.
Every open all year round campsite is checked against its official listing and real photos, not a marketing pitch.
We cross-check public Google ratings and reviews. An establishment below family standards doesn't make the selection.
