Overview

The Domaine d’Haulmé covers 21 hectares in the heart of the Ardennes Regional Nature Park, in Haulmé, in the Semoy valley. The site, a Natura 2000 area, is bordered by the river for around 1.2 km and by the Trans-Semoysienne, a greenway that is the starting point for many walking, cycling and horse-riding routes.

The camping area has 148 pitches of at least 200 m² spread over 10 wooded hectares, around thirty of them right on the water’s edge, and six hardstanding pitches for motorhomes with a water and waste service point. There is also a variety of accommodation: twenty chalets for four people, four premium mobile homes that arrived in 2026, three family mobile homes, a dome, bell tents, a tiny house, a vintage caravan, canvas bungalows and two gîtes for 9 and 19 people.

Four washroom blocks and two dishwashing blocks are cleaned two to three times a day, and washrooms adapted for people with reduced mobility are available on request at reception.

Opening period: the website does not publish opening dates for the campsite. It only says that reception keeps high-season hours from July 4 to August 18 and low-season hours the rest of the time, that the pool stays open until September 30 and that the Semoy canoe descent runs from March 31 to October 15. The website also mentions winter showers and toilets near reception. Off-season availability is therefore to be confirmed with the estate, on 07 69 67 27 88.

The estate has a small supermarket in the reception building, with basic groceries, drinks, ice cream, charcoal, propane and a few bike items. Bread is delivered every morning by a bakery in Monthermé: in high season, simply order it at reception before 6pm to have it the next day. A restaurant operates on site and, like the supermarket, offers beers from a craft brewery in Monthermé.

Campers have access to drinking water fountains, electric hook-up points, a bike cleaning and repair point and fire bowls. Motorhomes can use a free “flot bleu” service point for water and waste. The rental accommodation is equipped with a kitchen, and bed linen is compulsory there: it can be hired at reception, along with duvets, towels and bath mats.

A heated outdoor pool of 25 m² is reserved for guests of the estate. It is advertised as open until September 30, every day except Tuesday, from 9am to 6 or 7pm depending on the season. There is no lifeguard: children must be supervised at all times. Accepted payment methods include bank card, cash, cheques, ANCV holiday vouchers and mobile payment.

On the estate, the Semoy is the playground: several small beaches allow swimming in the river, and fishing is permitted with a licence, on a no-kill basis. Petanque courts, a football pitch, stone table tennis tables, a small play area and a volleyball net complete the offer. Petanque balls, balls, rackets, mölkky and wooden games can be borrowed free of charge at reception.

The estate organises the descent of the Semoy by canoe or kayak, lasting one to two hours, every day from March 31 to October 15, depending on the water level. Published rates are 25 euros per adult and 23 euros per child under 12. The website also details hiking routes from the campsite or the neighbouring villages of Thilay and Tournavaux, with viewpoints such as the Roc la Tour, as well as mountain biking routes.

In the surrounding area, climbing is possible in Monthermé and Tournavaux. The Lac des Vieilles-Forges, about 20 km away, offers swimming, canoeing and leisure parks. For rainy days, the website mentions a water park, two spas, a craft brewery and two nearby museums.
