Ten campsites are listed in the Vosges, five of which have verified off-season opening: only those are presented as open all year round or in winter. They are concentrated around Xonrupt-Longemer, La Bresse and Plombières-les-Bains, in the heart of the Vosges massif, in the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park, a region of lakes and mid-mountain landscapes.
Near Gérardmer, the Domaine de Longemer, a four-star site in Xonrupt-Longemer, keeps its pitches, rental units, motorhome area and wellness area open all year round, 100 m from Lake Longemer. It clears the snow from 48 pitches in winter and has a heated indoor pool, saunas, a hammam and hot tubs. In La Bresse, Le Haut des Bluches, a three-star snow-caravan campsite at 710 m with the Famille Plus label, welcomes guests in summer and winter; its washrooms and chalets are heated, and only an annual closure from 8 November to 17 December 2026 is announced.
In Gemaingoutte, the Camping municipal Le Violu rents out its chalets and keeps its service area open from 1 January to 31 December; its pitches close from November to March. At Les Lacs, in Celles-sur-Plaine, the four-star campsite closes from October to early April, but its gîtes and cottages stay open all year round, near the Pierre-Percée lakes, with an outdoor sports centre a 5-minute walk away.
The Fraiteux campsite, three stars at 550 m altitude near Plombières-les-Bains, is open in all seasons. Its chalets are available all year round, its washrooms are heated in winter, and a spa-guest rate applies from 20 nights. L’Hermitage, in the same town, closes for several months: it is a seasonal address, with a heated pool from 15 June to 31 August.
First distinguish between pitches, chalets and gîtes, as dates differ. In winter, ask whether the washrooms are heated, whether the pitches are cleared of snow and how to reach the slopes. For the leisure area at Lac de la Moselotte, La Chaumière, Le Noir Rupt and the Parc du Château, off-season opening is not confirmed: contact them before booking.
Around Xonrupt-Longemer, you can go downhill and cross-country skiing and sledging at Xonrupt-Le Poli; snowshoeing and raclette evenings round off the winter at the campsite. In La Bresse, the resort offers downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, sledging, an ice rink and a cinema, and a free winter bus serves La Bresse-Hohneck and Lispach.
From Plombières-les-Bains, Gérardmer and La Bresse are 45 minutes away, and the spa treatments at Plombières, Luxeuil and Bains-les-Bains can be followed by hikes on the Vosges trails. At Gemaingoutte, you can walk around the Col de Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines and along the GR 531, the former border route from 1871 to 1918. Back from the slopes, the heated indoor pool at the Domaine de Longemer and its wellness area are among the off-season attractions, while Fraiteux holds the Home Vélo label and rents a chalet with a private hot tub.
Every open all year round campsite is checked against its official listing and real photos, not a marketing pitch.
We cross-check public Google ratings and reviews. An establishment below family standards doesn't make the selection.
