Camping des Lacs is in Celles-sur-Plaine, in the north of the Vosges, in the heart of the Pierre-Percée area, known for its two lakes and forests. The Donon massif is close by. The place is also a leisure hub: a water sports base, a treetop adventure park and a nature sports centre surround it.
Rated 4 stars, the site offers bare pitches, where motorhomes are welcome, canvas lodges for 4 or 5 people, cabins by the river, chalets for 2 to 8 people and gîtes. The washrooms for the cabins, lodges and pitches are shared, whereas the chalets and gîtes have their own bathroom. Management stresses a family atmosphere and refuses party groups (stag and hen parties, birthdays), with a €200 card imprint per rental in case of noise after 10.30pm.
The campsite is open from 10 April to 27 September 2026, but the gîtes and cottages are advertised as open all year. They stand apart from the campsite, on the shore of Lac de la Plaine, a quarter of an hour’s walk away: each unit sleeps 4 to 6 people on 45 m², with heating, fitted kitchen, covered terrace and parking, and gives access to a heated indoor pool and a sauna reserved for gîte guests.
Off-season, only this gîte offer operates, without the campsite’s pitches or chalets; the office is open from 9am to noon and from 2pm to 5pm.
For water, the campsite has a heated outdoor pool, open every day in season, and a heated indoor pool with sauna reserved for the gîtes, which their guests can use all year. Since 2024, swimming has been banned in Lac de la Plaine because of silting up: the neighbouring leisure base no longer provides swimming supervision, and the campsite pool serves as an alternative.
On site there is a shop, a snack bar, bike hire, a petanque court, table tennis tables, tennis courts, a fitness area, a children’s playground and an electric charging point. A kids’ club and entertainment are announced in summer. Wi-fi is paid, in the accommodation, at the pools, at reception and at the snack bar.
The gîtes and cottages have two bedrooms (a double bed and bunk beds), a sofa bed, a kitchen with dishwasher and microwave, a bathroom with separate WC, a television, heating and a covered terrace with garden furniture. Bed linen and towels are not provided and a €200 deposit is required.
Dining extends to Pierre-Percée and the neighbouring villages, where the tourist office lists several restaurants and other accommodation. Off-season, only the gîtes and their indoor pool operate, as summer services such as the shop are tied to the campsite’s opening.
The Pierre-Percée site brings together a wide choice of leisure activities on two lakes. Five minutes on foot from the campsite, the nature sports centre offers towed tube rides, pedal boats, water games, paintball, archery, electric scooters and a summer toboggan run, depending on the opening calendar, generally from April to early October. About fifteen minutes away by car, Aventure Parc offers treetop courses with zip lines over the lake. A rental base for canoes, kayaks and paddleboards operates from 1 May to 20 September 2026.
On the site, children enjoy the playground, adults the tennis, petanque and fitness area, and the whole family can hire bikes or rosalies (four-wheel pedal cars). Fishing and walks around the lakes, the cycle path and the hiking routes round out the range.
The region also offers the neighbouring Donon massif and the villages of the Vosges foothills. On the first weekend of August, the funfair sets up on the village square next to the campsite until Tuesday evening: peace and quiet is then somewhat reduced.
Off-season, the leisure parks are closed to the public, and the campsite lists no specific winter activity.
Gîtes and cottages open all year round; campsite (pitches, chalets, lodges, cabins) from 10 April to 27 September 2026.
