The Tarn has nine listed campsites, three of them with verified off-season opening: Les Chalets de Gaillac, Les Chalets du Lac in Rivières and the municipal leisure park of Saint-Pierre-de-Trivisy. In every case, year-round opening applies to chalets, not to tent or caravan pitches.
In Gaillac, Les Chalets de Gaillac offers eight chalets and a mobile home open all year, by the night, week or month, with reversible air conditioning and the town centre a 15-minute walk away. The pool only opens from June to September. In Rivières, Les Chalets du Lac has eight chalets on the banks of the Tarn, rented from 1 January to 31 December, with a fishing jetty and the Aiguelèze leisure centre within walking distance.
A 3-star municipal campsite at 620 m altitude, the leisure park of Saint-Pierre-de-Trivisy rents out its fifteen electrically heated chalets from 1 January to 31 December. Its pitches and canvas bungalows, however, only operate from 1 May to 30 September. At the Parc résidentiel de loisirs La Bessière, in the heart of the Sidobre in Lacrouzette, the twenty chalets are announced as open all year; we could not verify this.
The Domaine de Miraval, a 4-star campsite in Belleserre, opens from 15 March to 4 January: it only closes from January to mid-March. Les Rives du Lac du Laouzas, in Nages, welcomes guests from 17 April to 1 November 2026. In Serviès, Saint-Pierre-de-Rousieux opens its rentals from 6 April to 30 October. At the Le Jardin de Lacaze campsite, no opening date is published: to be confirmed. For La Bastide d’Albignac, in Le Dourn, no usable information could be gathered.
First specify the type of accommodation, since only chalets are rented in winter. Ask about the heating method, the minimum length of stay, monthly rates and reception hours.
In Gaillac, an open-air market is held all year; the new wine arrives in November, the Christmas market runs from mid-December to early January and the winegrowers’ Saint-Vincent festival takes place in January. Albi, its episcopal city and the Toulouse-Lautrec museum can also be visited in low season, as can the bastide towns of Cordes-sur-Ciel and Castelnau-de-Montmiral.
Along the Tarn, walks and fishing are possible from the jetty at Rivières. In Saint-Pierre-de-Trivisy, a gym stays open all year, the wellness centre from September to June from Friday to Monday, and the lake is stocked with fish every month. Forest hikes and mountain biking round out the outings there.
Every open all year round campsite is checked against its official listing and real photos, not a marketing pitch.
We cross-check public Google ratings and reviews. An establishment below family standards doesn't make the selection.
