Nine campsites are listed in the Gard, only two of them with verified off-season opening: L’Oliveraie and Le Moulin Neuf. The others are either seasonal addresses or campsites whose winter opening remains to be confirmed. Between the Cévennes, the Uzès area and the Rhône valley, the year-round offer relies mostly on rental accommodation.
Near Uzès, Domaine Le Moulin Neuf, in Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie, rents its Provençal mazets all year round, from 20 to 35 m², with a covered terrace. Pitches, however, only open from early May to 15 September, and the pools only run in summer; off-season, there are still tennis, multi-sport courts, pétanque and mini-golf. In the north of the department, L’Oliveraie, in Saint-Jean-de-Maruéjols-et-Avéjan, offers gîtes and ten air-conditioned 35 m² chalets on three hectares of olive trees, to rent in every season. The website does not mention heating: ask before a winter stay.
In Avèze, camping de Mon Village announces opening from 1 January to 31 December, with 54 riverside pitches and a full service area for motorhomes. In Saint-André-de-Majencoules, La Corconne reports about forty pitches and around ten mobile homes open all year round. These two openings are declared by the establishments and not verified: call before you set off. Le Pont du Mas, in Génolhac, closes its pitches from 1 November to 28 February, and winter remains to be confirmed for its mobile homes. Le Graniers, in Monoblet, does not publish opening dates.
Le Bel Été d’Anduze welcomes guests from 1 April to 30 September, and Le Dolium, in Laudun-l’Ardoise, from 24 April to 20 September 2026. They suit spring, summer and early autumn, not winter. Bon Soleil, a small campsite of 15 pitches on the shore of Lake Salonique, gives no calendar.
Distinguish between pitches and rentals, which do not have the same dates. Ask whether the accommodation is heated, whether the pool and restaurant are closed in winter, and confirm the dates by phone. Off-season weekends are often booked on request.
From Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie, Uzès, the first duchy of France, is five minutes away and the Pont du Gard a quarter of an hour, two visits that can be made in any season. Near L’Oliveraie, the Grotte Chauvet 2, in Vallon-Pont-d’Arc, recreates the Unesco-listed decorated cave, and Barjac, Saint-Ambroix and the Cévennes National Park offer villages and trails. The cave reproduces about 430 drawings, paintings and engravings, and Barjac is known for its flea market in August.
From Avèze, Mont Aigoual, the Cirque de Navacelles and the Hérault gorges are less than 30 km away. At Génolhac, the Cévennes train station, 1.5 km away, makes it possible to reach the national park trails without a car. At Anduze, the Cévennes steam train and the Bambouseraie await spring visitors, as do the greenway at Laudun-l’Ardoise and the hilltop village of La Roque-sur-Cèze.
Every open all year round campsite is checked against its official listing and real photos, not a marketing pitch.
We cross-check public Google ratings and reviews. An establishment below family standards doesn't make the selection.
