The Domaine de Miraval covers 8 hectares in Belleserre, in the Tarn, at the foot of the Montagne Noire, on the border with the Haute-Garonne. It presents itself as a 4-star campsite and residential leisure park at the source of the Canal du Midi. Revel and its famous Saturday market, Sorèze and Lac de Saint-Ferréol are about 10 minutes away; Castres is 25 minutes away. Shops, a pharmacy and a petrol station are less than 5 km away.
Accommodation is based on 18 rentals, eight wooden chalets and ten mobile homes, set on large pitches well apart from one another, each with a stone barbecue, picnic table and sun loungers. A three-bedroom Premium mobile home, a chalet and a washroom block are adapted for guests with reduced mobility. The estate also hosts receptions in a large 145 m² hall and offers guest rooms.
Opening period: the estate announces opening from 15 March to 4 January. It is therefore closed for about ten weeks, from 5 January to 14 March, and most of the facilities are summer-oriented: the pool opens from mid-May to mid-September and is heated only from June to September, and the bar operates only in high season. This is not a campsite open continuously through the winter; the exact dates for an off-season stay are to be confirmed with the campsite on 06 80 53 85 11.
The large 120 m² pool, surrounded by sun loungers and partly shaded by oak trees, has a shallow submerged beach area for toddlers and goes down to 2 m for swimmers. It is open from 10am to 8pm, from 15 May to 15 September, with heated water from June to September.
In the main building, a relaxation area has a wet room with a jacuzzi and jet shower, as well as a massage and treatment cabin, by appointment only. A laundry, a snack bar with a small convenience shop and a bar, open in high season, complete the offer; bicycles can be hired. Wifi is free at reception. The estate also welcomes riders, and rents out a reception hall and dormitories for groups.
On site, guests play boules under the oak trees, table tennis, badminton or mini-football; children have a play area with swings, and a small wood crossed by paths makes for quiet walks. Board games and a giant sudoku are also available.
In the surrounding area, the region offers plenty of variety: Lac de Saint-Ferréol, the reservoir of the Canal du Midi, the Revel market, the Sorèze abbey school, trails following in the footsteps of the Cathars and castles, cycling routes, canoeing on the river and even canyoning. A neighbouring holiday farm also offers activities supervised by a state-qualified instructor.
Opening announced from 15 March to 4 January; closed for about ten weeks, from 5 January to 14 March (to be confirmed with the campsite).
