Twenty campsites are listed in Île-de-France, nine of them with a verified off-season opening. Only these nine are presented as open all year round; the other eleven have no confirmed off-season dates and must be contacted before any winter booking. They are located in three departments, Seine-et-Marne, the Yvelines and the Val-d’Oise, on the fringes of the Paris region.
These two departments account for eight of the nine verified addresses. In Seine-et-Marne, La Vallée des Tamaris, the Camping des Bondons and Le Refuge focus on rentals, sometimes with published winter rates. In the Yvelines, L’Île du Roi, Les Chesnets, Le Criquet, the Canada campsite and Les Cabanes de Condé are spread along the Seine and as far as the Rambouillet forest. The Val-d’Oise adds Le Parc des Grands Clos, in Asnières-sur-Oise.
Proximity to Paris is the main asset of these sites: 35 minutes from Asnières-sur-Oise, 45 from Courpalay, and Paris Saint-Lazare is 20 minutes by train from Verneuil. Several also host professionals on the move, for a night, a week or a month, and one offers a coworking space on weekdays.
The verified accommodation often goes beyond the simple mobile home: wooden ecolodges in Courpalay, wooden cabins in Condé-sur-Vesgre, cottages at Les Bondons, in the heart of a 20-hectare forest. The Canada campsite, founded in 1970 and still family-run, keeps its mini-farm and its minigolf, while Les Chesnets sit in a leafy setting at the forest edge.
Eleven other addresses, including the Ranch Davy Crockett (Disneyland Paris), Le Parc de Paris, La Baraude and Les Quatre Arpents, have no confirmed winter opening. None has been identified as closed for several months, but the absence of a known closure is not confirmation of opening.
Specify whether you are looking for a pitch, a mobile home or a chalet: several addresses open their rentals continuously and their pitches later in spring. Ask about heating in the washrooms, the minimum length of stay and whether there are year-round residents. Also ask about the rates applied according to length of stay before booking.
From these campsites, the region can be visited with no quiet season. Versailles, Thoiry and Saint-Germain-en-Laye can be done in a day from the west; Chantilly and Royaumont abbey are close to the Val-d’Oise. Towards the east, Provins, Vaux-le-Vicomte and Fontainebleau are reachable in half an hour to forty minutes.
The big cat park at Courpalay is open almost all year, the Rambouillet forest can be explored on foot or by bike, and Giverny is less than 20 minutes from Freneuse. For rainy days, the toy museum in Poissy is a good stop, as are Émile Zola’s house in Médan and the shop at Jouarre abbey, open all year. In Nangis, a cinema and a theatre round out the offering. Around La Ferté-sous-Jouarre, champagne producers receive visitors by appointment.
Every open all year round campsite is checked against its official listing and real photos, not a marketing pitch.
We cross-check public Google ratings and reviews. An establishment below family standards doesn't make the selection.
