Camping Les Granges is in La Ferté-Gaucher, in Seine-et-Marne, about an hour’s drive from Paris and 2 km from the town centre and its shops. It has 64 pitches, including one adapted for guests with reduced mobility and one for a motorhome, in a green setting laid out around a pond.
A good share of the plots are private and at least 200 m², intended for a mobile home or a caravan. The published rates are, in fact, monthly for these pitches (from 210 to 250 € a month depending on the size), which points to a clientele of long stays, even residents. Touring pitches are charged by the night, and a mobile home for 6 to 8 people is available to rent by the night or the week.
Pets are welcome. The washrooms have showers, washbasins, toilets and a dishwashing area, with free wifi.
Opening period: the website publishes no opening or closing dates. Winter opening is therefore not confirmed, even though the monthly rates suggest long-term stays are welcome. You need to contact the campsite to find out whether a short stay is possible outside the summer.
The facilities are those of a family site: washrooms with showers, washbasins and toilets, an area for washing dishes and free wifi access. The relaxation chalet has table football, video, a library and a games library. The website mentions no swimming pool, no restaurant and no grocery shop: shopping is done in the town centre, 2 km away.
The mobile home for rent sleeps 6 to 8 people, with three double or twin beds and a sofa bed, an equipped kitchen (gas hob, refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine), a living area with television, a high chair and, on request, a changing mat. Bed linen can be rented. Electricity and water for the pitches are charged by consumption, and a tourist tax is added for short stays.
On site, the activities are geared towards quiet: fishing in the pond, pétanque, a city park for volleyball, football, basketball and tennis, the relaxation chalet and paths to explore on foot or by bike. In the surrounding area, the campsite mentions a tourist train and its rail bike 3 km away, a motor leisure centre 5 km away, Provins, a medieval town listed by UNESCO, 28 km away, the Parc des Félins 35 km away, and Vaux-le-Vicomte and Blandy-les-Tours 45 km away. Val d’Europe and Disneyland Paris are 45 km away, Paris 75 km and Champagne 80 km.
