Le Hameau du Saut du Loup is a 10-hectare residential caravan park in Garancières, in the Yvelines, between Thoiry and Montfort-l’Amaury. Paris-Montparnasse is about 35 minutes away by train from Garancières-La Queue station, 3 km away, and the Rambouillet forest is very close.
The park has 150 fully serviced plots of 170 to 600 m², in a wooded setting. They are offered for rent by the year, from €2,105 including VAT per year according to the park’s website, with annual, quarterly or monthly payment. The grounds and washrooms are accessible to people with reduced mobility.
What to know before you come: this is above all a residents’ park, where residents set up their caravan on a plot rented by the year. The park says it is open all year round for these residents, but it offers neither rental accommodation nor pitches for holidaymakers passing through. The plots are fully serviced, meaning connected to the utilities needed for a long-term installation. The grounds and washrooms are accessible to people with reduced mobility. Basic shops are close by, and the large shopping centres of Plaisir and Coignières are about twenty kilometres away.
On site, a one-hectare leisure area has a tennis court, a volleyball court, a swimming pool, exercise equipment and games for children and adults. The conditions of access to these facilities are those set for residents; they should be requested from the park.
A four-hectare wood inside the park allows quiet walks. On site, residents can play tennis, volleyball and outdoor games.
Nearby, the butterfly house of La Queue-lez-Yvelines is 3 km away, the Thoiry animal park 7 km, and a golf course with two courses of 9 and 18 holes 4 km. Montfort-l’Amaury, 7 km away, and Houdan, 14 km away, offer picturesque streets, restaurants and shops. The Rambouillet forest and the Étangs de Hollande, with their water games, are 10 to 15 km away; horse riding, hiking and cycling round out what the surrounding area has to offer.
