Eleven campsites are listed in the Manche, four of them with verified off-season opening: only these are presented as open off-season. Two others are seasonal addresses, and five state an opening that we could not confirm. They are spread across the Cotentin, the Val de Saire and the west coast, with very varied conditions for visitors.
In Surtainville, the Camping municipal Les Mielles, rated 3 stars, is open all year round without a closure, with heated washrooms and heated mobile homes; it takes guests by the day, week, month or year, close to a 4 km sandy beach and the GR223. In the Val de Saire, La Ferme du Bord de Mer in Gatteville-le-Phare, rated 2 stars, keeps its hardstanding motorhome pitches and its pitches with private washrooms open all year; its shared washroom blocks close from the end of September to the end of April. In Tourlaville, Collignon opens its motorhome area from 1 January to 31 December, while the campsite itself is closed from October to April.
In Raids, the Ferme de la Tournerie, a small farm campsite with six pitches, is open from 5 January to 20 December 2026 and closes only for a few days at Christmas; its gîte stays open all year. The campsite lies in the heart of the Parc des Marais du Cotentin.
The Village Vert in Tollevast is open from April to September, and Les Garennes in Hauteville-sur-Mer from mid-March to mid-November. In Coutances, Les Vignettes offers a caravan winter storage service and a free indoor pool. Les Dauphins (Montmartin-sur-Mer), the Aire naturelle de l’Oraille (L’Étang-Bertrand), Les Landes (Saint-Germain-le-Gaillard) and Les Tourterelles (Flamanville) have no confirmed off-season opening.
First ask what stays open: pitches, rental accommodation, motorhome area or only the gîte. Check whether the washrooms are heated, when the shared blocks close in winter and what the dates are over the Christmas period.
The GR223 runs alongside several campsites on the coast: Les Mielles in Surtainville, with its dunes, and La Ferme du Bord de Mer in the Val de Saire, where you can also reach the sandy beach. In Tourlaville, Collignon beach is good for kitesurfing and sand yachting; the Cité de la Mer and the Ravalet château are less than 4 km away. From Surtainville, the Ludiver planetarium is about 25 km away and the Cité de la Mer 30 km.
In Raids, La Tournerie organises a visit with an afternoon snack on Thursdays during the October school holidays and sells bread and gâche on Saturday mornings from April, on the edge of the Cotentin marshes.
In Gatteville-le-Phare, the sandy beach can be reached directly from the campsite, in a quiet atmosphere with no entertainment.
Every open all year round campsite is checked against its official listing and real photos, not a marketing pitch.
We cross-check public Google ratings and reviews. An establishment below family standards doesn't make the selection.
You book directly with the campsite, no middleman or hidden markup. The price shown is the price you pay.
