Camping Les Tourterelles is on Rue du Vieux Stade in Flamanville, a commune of about 1,600 inhabitants on the west coast of the Cotentin, south of La Hague (Manche). According to an online listing, it has 57 pitches and was given a 3-star rating by prefectoral decree in November 2017; whether that rating is still valid today is not confirmed. Online reviews mention spacious pitches for tents, mobile homes, washrooms with showers and an area for hikers on the GR223.
The site was previously privately owned and is said to have come under municipal management in February 2026. Reviews describe it as convenient for workers at the neighbouring nuclear power plant, but also for families. They note, however, a reception that is sometimes hard to reach, irregular heating and hot water, and facilities in need of modernising. The original official website no longer exists.
Opening period: no current date is published. A 2018 online listing gave opening for the whole calendar year, but it related to the former operator, and the campsite also has many pitches occupied by residents. Whether passing holidaymakers are welcomed in autumn and winter should therefore be confirmed with the campsite before booking, on 02 33 87 66 66.
Information on services is limited. Reviews mention washrooms with showers and toilet paper provided, as well as an area reserved for hikers and tents. The campsite is in the village, close to the shops. No swimming pool or on-site catering is mentioned in the available information. The exact facilities, reception hours and services available off-season should be requested directly from the campsite.
Flamanville serves as a starting point for walking: the GR223 long-distance footpath passes through the commune, and beaches and the Pointe de la Hague are close by. The Château de Flamanville, built between 1654 and 1658, houses a dahlia conservatory, and the little port of Diélette preserves the memory of a former undersea iron mine, closed in 1962, with a museum. The neighbouring nuclear power plant marks the landscape.
Opening dates not published: to be confirmed with the campsite (municipal management since February 2026).
