La Ferme de la Tournerie is in Raids, in the Manche department, in the heart of the Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin Regional Nature Park. The site is about five minutes from Périers and halfway between Cherbourg and Mont-Saint-Michel. It is a cider farm run by Vanessa and Jérôme Demol, a member of the Bienvenue à la ferme network, where camping is only one part of the business: the farm produces cider, calvados, apple juice and vinegar, and sells bread and gâche.
The site has six spacious, shaded pitches beside a pond and a protected stream, with farm animals nearby. As well as tents, caravans and motorhomes, a caravan or a tent can be rented, and the farm has a gîte for 12 to 13 people with three bedrooms. The atmosphere is described as family-friendly and peaceful, under chestnut trees.
As for opening dates, two regional tourism leaflets, those of the Côte Ouest Centre Manche tourist office and of the Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin Park, list the campsite as open from 5 January to 20 December 2026, seven days a week. The closure therefore lasts only about two weeks, around the festive season. The farm’s gîte is listed as open all year round. The campsite has no website of its own: the detailed calendar is available by phone.
Farm visit with a snack on Thursdays during the October holidays; bread and gâche on Saturday mornings from April; the surrounding Marais du Cotentin.
The campsite is run on a small scale. The pitches have electric hook-ups, and campers have access to showers, a washing machine and a children’s play area. The farm rents out bed linen, tents and caravans, and also offers storage space for leaving a caravan. A motorhome area is set aside for motorhomes.
Prices are shown per unit and remain modest: about 5 euros per adult, 3 euros per child, 4 euros per pitch, 4 euros for electricity and 2 euros per pet, according to the tourism leaflets. The tourist tax for the gîte is 0.22 euro per night per person.
On the farm you can buy cider, apple juice, vinegar and calvados, as well as bread and gâche, sold on Saturdays from 9am to 12pm at the campsite entrance from April. A function room can hold 50 people for a birthday or a meeting. The campsite does not advertise a swimming pool, on-site catering or a shop.
On site, the grounds offer table tennis, pétanque, football and outdoor games for children, in a green setting beside a pond. The youngest also gather around the farm animals, and the educational farm offers guided visits with a tractor ride, animal feeding and a snack made with farm produce.
These visits take place on Thursdays from 4pm to 6pm during the April, summer and October school holidays, by reservation, for 9 euros per adult and 7 euros per child. Groups and birthday parties are welcome, up to 50 people.
The farm is described as a natural, restful setting, surrounded by the Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin Regional Nature Park. Périers is five minutes away. For a longer outing, the farm is halfway between Cherbourg and Mont-Saint-Michel, which makes it a possible stopover on this route.
Campsite open from 5 January to 20 December 2026; the farm’s gîte is open all year round.
