Everything about the campsites open all year round in Nièvre

Seven campsites are listed in the Nièvre, two of them with verified off-season opening. Almost all are in the Morvan Regional Natural Park, with its lakes, ponds and trails, which makes them a low-season destination for nature rather than entertainment.

On the shores of Lac des Settons

In Montsauche-les-Settons, Plage du Midi is a three-star site open all year round according to the site calendar. In winter, from 4 November to 4 April, only some of the rental accommodation stays open, including the Élégance chalet gîte; accommodation and washrooms are heated. A heated indoor pool, sauna and hammam complete the stay, depending on the period, in a dedicated chalet, along with a hot tub.

Chalets open all year round in the Morvan

In Saint-Léger-de-Fougeret, L’Étang de la Fougeraie keeps its chalets and rentals open all year round, except in February, while its pitches are only open from 1 April to 30 September. This three-star campsite of 8.6 hectares has a pool heated to 29 °C, a paddling pool, chalets on stilts and cabins on the pond, with a fishing pond home to carp and sturgeon, and mountain bike trail starting points.

Seasonal addresses and openings to be confirmed

The Manoir de Bezolle, in Saint-Péreuse, and La Bédure, in Luzy, close for several months: they are spring, summer and autumn addresses. For the Domaine de la Cabane Verte at Lac des Settons, the Domaine de La Jarnoise in Saint-Agnan-en-Morvan and the residential park in Châtillon-en-Bazois, off-season opening remains to be confirmed with the campsite. The Manoir de Bezolle, a four-star site, has two private fishing ponds, two outdoor pools and an educational farm; the Cabane Verte, at an altitude of 600 m on the shores of Lac des Settons, offers about forty chalets and canoeing and kayaking on the estate.

Choosing a campsite open all year round in the Nièvre

Check the exact calendar: most winter openings only concern rental accommodation. Ask whether heating is included and avoid February at La Fougeraie. Book ahead for weekends and holidays.

What to see and do in Nièvre

Around Lac des Settons, a 15 km footpath circles the water, and the Morvan’s waymarked trails start from the campsite, with fishing possible. From Saint-Léger-de-Fougeret, you can fish in the pond all year round except in February, and set off hiking or mountain biking in the regional natural park. La Jarnoise, on the edge of a fir wood, focuses on a wellness area with a sauna and Finnish grill, massages and yoga classes, and every chalet has a fully equipped kitchen. These resources suit a restful off-season weekend well, provided the opening is confirmed. At Plage du Midi, the heated indoor pool and the sauna and hammam area let you warm up after a walk around the lake.

our method

How we select the campsites in this localisation

1

A verified criterion, not a promise

Every open all year round campsite is checked against its official listing and real photos, not a marketing pitch.

2

Reputation, backed by reviews

We cross-check public Google ratings and reviews. An establishment below family standards doesn't make the selection.

3

Direct booking, transparent pricing

You book directly with the campsite, no middleman or hidden markup. The price shown is the price you pay.
