Four campsites are listed in the Creuse, in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, two of them with verified off-season opening: only these are presented as open all year. They are two small countryside addresses, one on a farm, the other in the heart of a village in the Millevaches en Limousin regional nature park. For the other two, off-season opening is still to be confirmed.
In Parsac, La Semnadisse is a 4.5-hectare farm campsite with only 30 places, made up of 19 pitches of more than 400 m² and 11 furnished mobile homes in a vintage spirit. According to its official website it is open all year, with no closure announced; precise dates are to be confirmed, and bookings are made by email. For the cold season, a small farmhouse 100 m from the campsite has central heating and a wood-burning stove. In Faux-la-Montagne, Le Puy de Faux, a municipal campsite in the village centre, rents seven oil-heated gîtes all year, with a low season from 10 December to 28 March and from October to December; the opening dates of the pitches are not published.
The camping municipal de la Roussille, in Châtelus-Malvaleix, 25 km from Guéret, offers large shaded pitches 400 m from the shops and eight chalets facing the lake, announced as open all year; no opening date for the campsite is published. In Boussac, Creuse Nature Naturisme, a naturist estate, announces its campsite from 11 April to 30 September; only its chalets and its 50 m² ecological houses for six people would be accessible all year, also to be confirmed. Its two heated pools, one of them covered, its sauna and its Nordic bath are described without opening dates.
Ask whether the pitches or only the gîtes and chalets are open in winter, and whether the accommodation is heated: in Faux-la-Montagne, oil heating is charged by the day. Not all dates are published and several bookings are made by email: write or call before setting out, stating your arrival dates.
In Faux-la-Montagne, the walking trails can be followed all year and Lake Faux, 800 m away, is reached on foot for fishing. The village holds its market on Monday, and those of Eymoutiers (on Saturday, and on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month) and Felletin (on Friday) fill out the week; the cinemas of Eymoutiers and Aubusson are 25 and 40 minutes away. The area has been classed as an International Dark Sky Reserve since 2021, a winter asset, and the lakes of Chammet, Lavaud-Gelade and Vassivière, the last 7 km away, can be reached by bike on small roads, according to a visitor.
In Parsac, the farm sets the rhythm of the year: planting in spring, haymaking, harvests and apple juice production in late summer, animal care by appointment all year. In Châtelus-Malvaleix, the Roussille lake invites swimming, fishing, walking and cycling, with tennis and basketball courts.
