The Domaine de Trémelin stretches through the forest around Lake Trémelin, in the commune of Iffendic in Ille-et-Vilaine. The Brocéliande forest is about 15 minutes away by car, Rennes 30 minutes, Saint-Malo an hour and the Gulf of Morbihan 1 hour 15 minutes. The lake is a small leisure complex in its own right, with a Blue Flag beach, a water sports centre and a treetop adventure course.
The estate offers two options. The campsite has 55 unserviced pitches, averaging about 90 m², some shaded and some sunny, a few of which have a 16-amp electric hook-up. It is also accessible to people with reduced mobility. Alongside it, the rental park consists of 18 gîtes (14 of the T2 type for 5 people, 4 of the T3 type for 7 people) and 8 mobile homes for 4 people, making 130 beds in total.
Opening is not the same for everyone: the gîtes and mobile homes are open all year round, while the campsite pitches operate from 1 April to 31 October. A holidaymaker passing through can therefore book accommodation in midwinter, with the estate’s restaurant and bar on site. Out of season, reception is at the restaurant, from 9.30am to 5pm.
The campsite prides itself on having no Wi-Fi and no television, for stays that let you unplug in the heart of the forest.
Cosy lakeside bar from October to March, belote afternoons and games evenings, forest walks, restaurant open from Wednesday to Sunday.
The estate’s restaurant, on the water’s edge with a terrace facing the lake, seats 65. The menu changes week by week from October to June and is fixed from July to September; a 22.50 € menu is offered, along with special menus for Valentine’s Day or Christmas. From September to June it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays (open by reservation, for groups), and serves from Wednesday to Friday from 12 to 2pm, Saturday lunch and dinner, and Sunday lunch.
The bar is a refuge in winter: from October to March it opens from Wednesday to Sunday during the day (11am to 5pm on weekdays, 5.30pm at weekends), with board games freely available, and stays closed on Mondays and Tuesdays outside school holidays. You can get takeaway pizzas, sharing boards, ice cream, waffles and homemade crêpes. Two function rooms host groups and events.
As for washrooms, the campsite’s two blocks are accessible day and night, with a full accessible bathroom for people with reduced mobility; in July and August they are cleaned three times a day. The mobile homes are fitted with a kitchenette, a terrace and a bathroom; the gîtes have the same basics. The new 2026 range of comfort mobile homes mentions electric radiators. For shopping, nearby Iffendic has a supermarket, a butcher’s and restaurants. The estate has neither a swimming pool nor a grocery shop; swimming is in the lake in season.
All the activity on the estate revolves around Lake Trémelin. In season, you swim from the beach, and the water sports centre offers pedal boats and kayaks. The treetop course rounds out the offer for children and adults alike, and the lakeside is ideal for forest walks.
The estate organises entertainment according to the season. In summer, there are evenings with a DJ and swing aperitifs; out of season, it is belote afternoons and games evenings, held at the restaurant and the bar. The daily menu is posted every day on the estate’s Facebook page.
For outings, the legendary Brocéliande forest is about fifteen minutes away, and Rennes, Saint-Malo or the Gulf of Morbihan can be reached in half a day. The year-round gîtes and mobile homes let you combine forest walks in autumn or winter with a warm break in the lakeside bar; groups are also welcomed at the restaurant or in one of the two function rooms.
Gîtes and mobile homes open all year round; campsite pitches from 1 April to 31 October.
