Camping du Loc’Han is in Plélo, in the Côtes-d’Armor, about twelve kilometres from the beaches. It is a 2-star campsite set in green surroundings, on 2.5 hectares with 69 pitches. The website announces a recent change of owner and a simple, friendly atmosphere aimed at families and groups of friends.
The pitches, of at least 80 m², are grassy and surrounded by hedges. They are close to a recent washroom block, equipped for toddlers and accessible to disabled visitors. The campsite also rents out mobile homes (Ibiza, O’Hara, Savanah and Pacifique models) and a 39 m² chalet for five people, with two bedrooms and a fitted kitchen. Arrival and departure are possible every day, including in July and August.
Opening period: the website does not publish the campsite’s opening dates. It only states that the covered pool is open from April to September, that the bar runs in July and August and that the shop opens from mid-June to mid-September. The chalet is described as heated in every room “in every season”, but nothing is said about winter opening. Off-season opening to be confirmed with the campsite before any booking.
The managers also say that beaches are about ten minutes away by car.
The campsite has a recent washroom block replacing the old ones: toilets, washbasins, shower cubicles with mixer taps, a dishwashing sink and a hand-washing basin, plus a cubicle for disabled visitors with shower, washbasin and toilet. Toilet paper is provided. A chemical toilet disposal point is less than 6 km from the campsite.
The recently refurbished snack bar serves cocktails, sharing boards, paninis and pizzas, with a terrace overlooking the countryside and the pool area. It is open every day in July and August, with a breakfast service in summer. The shop operates from mid-June to mid-September: basic groceries, condiments, drinks, toiletries and regional products, barbecue equipment and ice packs. Bread and pastries can be ordered the day before for the next day.
The covered pool measures 6 m by 12 m and its water is heated to 28 °C by a heat pump, so you can swim whatever the weather. Opening hours are 10am to 7.30pm, between April and September, and there is no lifeguard: children under 11 must be accompanied. Swim shorts are not allowed, and long hair must be tied back. The pool is reserved for residents, and campers’ visitors can use it under conditions to be requested at reception.
On site, several activities are planned for all ages. The enclosed, recently renewed play area welcomes children aged 1 to 6 and 2 to 10, with a climbing wall, climbing net and slide on a shock-absorbing surface. Adults have a pétanque court, an obstacle mini-golf course and table tennis tables near the bar. Equipment can be requested at reception.
On rainy days, the bar offers electronic darts, table football and an English pool table with seven red balls, seven yellow, one black and one white. Tourist leaflets are available at reception, and the managers are happy to suggest outings in the area.
Around the campsite, the Vallée des Chars à Bancs, 7 minutes away, combines a farm inn, pony rides, pedal boats and a treetop adventure park. Châtelaudren, a Petite cité de caractère, is 8 minutes away with its Notre-Dame du Tertre chapel and painted panelling. You can also visit a seaweed shop with a low-tide walk in Pléguien, the Lantic parc aventure, the Trégomeur zoo park, Binic 15 minutes away, the GR 34 at Plouha 20 minutes away, Paimpol 25 minutes away, then Cap Fréhel or the Vallée des Saints in under an hour.
Opening dates not published: to be confirmed with the campsite. Covered pool announced from April to September.
