Ten campsites are listed in the Nord, in Hauts-de-France, four of which have verified off-season opening: only those are presented as open all year round. They are spread between the Flemish coast near Dunkirk, the Lille metropolitan area, the Scarpe-Escaut Regional Nature Park and the Pays de Mormal, in the Avesnois.
In Ghyvelde, the PRL Hooghe Moote is open all year round; its mobile homes are heated, with a low season from 1 November to 31 March, five fishing ponds stocked with salmon trout and the beach at Bray-Dunes 3 km away. In Flines-lès-Mortagne, the Domaine des Poteries, three stars between woods and ponds, also rents out mobile homes with no annual closure. In Gommegnies, Le Fromentel, two stars in a former flour mill, offers mobile homes by the week, month or year, on the edge of the Mormal forest, with free wifi and a laundry.
In Sainghin-en-Mélantois, 15 km from Lille, the Caravaning du Grand Sart takes caravans, vans and motorhomes all year round, with heated washrooms and free wifi; the tent area is closed until April 2027.
The Camping des Pins, in Ghyvelde, is a four-star site with a covered pool heated to 29 °C, but it closes for several months: it is a seasonal address. The Val de Cassel, in Zuytpeene, announces opening from 1 April to 31 October. For the Camping de l’Escaut in Honnecourt-sur-Escaut, La Sensée in Aubigny-au-Bac (covered, heated pool), Le Clos Vert in Grand-Fayt (dogs welcome) and L’Orée du Parc in Wavrechain-sous-Faulx, off-season opening is not confirmed: call before you set off.
First say whether you want a mobile home, a caravan or a tent, as dates differ. Ask whether the accommodation is heated, which services stay open in winter and what conditions apply to a monthly stay. Book directly with the campsite.
From Ghyvelde, you can reach Bray-Dunes, Bergues or Dunkirk on foot or by car; the neighbouring farm inn of the PRL Hooghe Moote advertises a Valentine's Day menu and a Christmas meal. Around the Grand Sart, Lille (Grand'Place, Vieux-Lille), the La Piscine museum in Roubaix, Tournai and Arras can be visited all year round, and cycle routes start from the campsite.
At Flines-lès-Mortagne, the Scarpe-Escaut park offers hikes, the spa at Saint-Amand-les-Eaux offers spa-guest packages, and the museums of Lens, Lewarde and Roubaix stay open out of season. At Gommegnies, you can walk in the Mormal forest and visit the ramparts of Le Quesnoy, 5 km away, and the château of Gommegnies; the campsite announces no entertainment, you come for the quiet. Around the Poteries, bowling and a cinema round off these outings when the weather turns.
Every open all year round campsite is checked against its official listing and real photos, not a marketing pitch.
We cross-check public Google ratings and reviews. An establishment below family standards doesn't make the selection.
You book directly with the campsite, no middleman or hidden markup. The price shown is the price you pay.
