Overview

The Le Moulin de la Pierre campsite is in Saint-Vivien, in Charente-Maritime, on rue de Thairé. It is about 5 km from the sea and from Châtelaillon-Plage, which you can reach in about ten minutes by bike along the cycle paths. La Rochelle, Fouras and Rochefort are about fifteen minutes away by car, and the Île de Ré about twenty minutes.

It is a quiet 2-star campsite that offers rentals only: 23 privately owned mobile homes for 4 to 6 people, with no pitches for tents. Each mobile home has a bathroom with shower, toilets, a fitted kitchen, a television and a 4G internet connection; some have a dishwasher and washing machine. None is adapted for people with reduced mobility. Bookings are made with the owners or directly with the campsite, and rates may vary from one mobile home to another.

On site, a covered, heated, unsupervised swimming pool is available, with a solarium under a glass roof in the wellness area. There is also a secure play area, a pétanque court and a table tennis table. Pets on a lead are tolerated, except category 1 and 2 dogs.

Opening period: every year, the campsite closes between 30 November and 1 March, about three winter months. The 2026 rates cover the period from 1 March to 30 November. It therefore does not welcome holidaymakers in December, January and February; for a stay close to these dates, it is best to contact the campsite.

Facilities

The campsite has no restaurant and no announced shop. The mobile homes are equipped for everyday living, with kitchen, bathroom, television and 4G connection. The most notable facility is the covered, heated swimming pool, open to campsite guests and placed under parents’ responsibility for minors; showering and walking through the footbath are compulsory before entering. A solarium under a glass roof, in the wellness area, makes the most of natural light. The rates include access to the pool, the play area and one parking space per mobile home. A tourist tax is added per person per night.
