Overview

Le Clos des Tourterelles is in Bouzonville-aux-Bois, in the Pithiverais (Loiret), about 8 km from Pithiviers. Orléans is 40 km away, Paris 96 km, and the Pithiviers exit of the A19 motorway is only 6 km away, making access easy from the Île-de-France as well as from the Loire. The site is rated 2 stars.

The family that runs it has managed it since 1999, and the business has been established in the region since 1978. The campsite has 63 pitches of 135 to 200 m². It rents mobile homes with 1 to 3 bedrooms for 2 to 8 people, including one model adapted for people with reduced mobility, as well as chalets with 1 to 2 bedrooms for 2 to 6 people. All have a covered terrace and reversible air conditioning that heats as well as cools.

As for opening, the campsite says it welcomes guests throughout the year: the rentals can be booked in every season, for a holiday, a weekend or a business trip, and touring pitches for tent, caravan or motorhome are offered on reservation, with a simple electric hook-up. Some of the pitches are also let year-round to owners of leisure mobile homes; this is not an offer for passing holidaymakers. The website gives no annual closure date.

The neighbouring Loiret offers plenty to fill a stay: the saffron museum in Boynes, the Orléans forest, Montargis, and Gien with its châteaux.

Comfort at the campsite remains simple and family-oriented. High-speed Wi-Fi is advertised across the whole site; it is charged at €1.50 per day according to the 2026 price list. A coin-operated laundry has a washing machine and tumble dryer, and a recreation room is available to campers. A shared washroom block serves the touring pitches; the campsite asks that you contact it for details.

The mobile homes range from the one-bedroom option, for 2 to 4 people, to three-bedroom models for 8 people, with a sofa bed in the living room. The chalets have one or two bedrooms. A two-bedroom mobile home adapted for reduced mobility is available. Sheets can be rented for €10 for a single bed and €15 for a double bed; a €200 security deposit and an €80 cleaning deposit are required. For autumn and winter stays, the reversible air conditioning provides heating, whereas the shared washrooms are not described as heated.

The pool is heated, the water is treated with a BIO-UV system and a telescopic cover allows swimming in bad weather. It is open from mid-May to mid-September; the 2026 price list shows a rate of €3.50 per day for access. A playground welcomes children aged 2 to 12 and a boules court completes the facilities. On the touring pitches, the 2026 price list specifies that electricity is metered from October to April, which applies to late-season and winter stays.

Activities & entertainment

🎯Petanque
🎲Game room

On site, you can play pétanque on the boules court, make use of the playground for ages 2 to 12 and the recreation room, and in summer swim in the heated pool. The campsite does not advertise an entertainment programme: the atmosphere is meant to be friendly and calm.

The surrounding area provides most of the outings. The management mentions the Boynes saffron museum and the Orléans forest for walks or bike rides. Forest hikes, fishing in the region’s ponds and lakes, water activities on the Loire and canoe-kayak trips along the river are mentioned as things to do near the campsite.

The Loire châteaux, the Parc floral d’Orléans, Montargis, the Château de Fontainebleau and the Buthiers leisure centre are among the day trips. In Gien, the château houses the museum of hunting, history and nature in the Loire Valley. These visits are possible outside summer, a period during which the campsite continues to rent out its mobile homes and chalets. As a base, the place also lets you reach Pithiviers in a few minutes and Orléans, 40 km away, for a day in town, without leaving the calm of the Pithiverais.
