Camping de la Corniche is on rue Toul ar Vag in Plestin-les-Grèves, in the Côtes-d’Armor, by the sea, with a view over Loquirec bay and Finistère. The beaches of Pors Mellec and des Curés can be reached on foot in five minutes, and the GR 34 trail crosses the site. For getting here, Morlaix station is 25 km away, Roscoff port 50 km, the RN 12 21 km and Brest airport 73 km.
Fabienne, Patrick and their team welcome guests; a user review mentions a reopening in 2021 by new owners. The site combines pitches of about 70 m² for tents, caravans and motorhomes, all with a 16 A electric hook-up post, and three models of mobile home: the Caraïbes of 40 m² for 6 people, the Corail of 36 m² for 6 people and the Grand Large of 30 m² for 4 people. All have a terrace, often with a sea view.
As for opening, reception is announced all year round, for holidays, weekends, stopovers for GR 34 hikers, study or business trips. In winter, the info point does not close but opens only in the evening, and the operator warns that campers have a lot of autonomy there. Mobile homes are rented for a minimum of one week, with shorter stays possible on request.
The setting remains modest, with no pool, geared towards calm, the sea and the trails.
Hiking on the GR 34 from the campsite, walks on the beaches of Pors Mellec and des Curés, Vélomaritime.
The facilities are simple and practical. A washroom block with showers, toilets and washing-up sinks serves the pitches, a laundry provides a washing machine and there is a waste disposal point for motorhomes. Free wifi is available at reception. Pitches have a water point nearby and a service area. From 1 to 15 August, motorhomes over 7.50 m are not allowed, for safety reasons.
The mobile homes have a fully equipped kitchen (oven, fridge, coffee maker, kettle, with a dishwasher depending on the model), a dining area and a private bathroom with toilet; sheets and towels can be rented. A 800 € deposit covers damage, and another of 150 € covers cleaning, refunded if the accommodation is returned clean. Payment by ANCV Connect is accepted.
Food and drink are concentrated in the good season: a small emergency grocery, with dry goods, toiletries and local products, opens from June to September, the bread and pastry depot operates in high and mid season, and the bar, with its sea-view terrace, opens in June, July, August and September, until 11pm. The snack bar completes the offer in high season. The info point is open from 9am to 12pm and from 2:45pm to 7pm in summer, only in the evening in winter. No pool is announced: swimming is in the sea.
Hiking is the main activity: the GR 34 passes through the campsite and leads to the cliffs, woods and villages of the coast; the campsite is a partner of the Itirando app for finding walks. The Plestin-les-Grèves watersports centre, five minutes away, offers sand yachting, sea kayaking, paddleboarding and catamaran sailing, and a surf school is based in Saint-Michel. The beaches of Pors Mellec, des Curés, the Lieue de Grève and Saint-Efflam stretch out nearby, and the Vélomaritime cycle route lets you ride along the coast.
For families, options include the Récré des Trois Curés, Armoripark, the Village gaulois, Océanopolis, the Trégastel aquarium or the Trégomeur zoo. Around Morlaix bay, visits include the island of Batz, the island of Callot, Carantec, the Château du Taureau, the Barnénez cairn, one of the largest burial mounds in Europe, and the Vallée des Saints.
Off-season, walks on the GR 34 and outings along the seafront remain possible, whereas the summer events, such as the temporary racecourse at Saint-Efflam, the Vent de Grève festival and the Fête de la Mer, only take place in season. The Plestin-les-Grèves market and its local museum complete the outings in town.
Open all year round; grocery and bar from June to September, info point evenings only in winter.
