Domaine Les Oréades is a 5-star campsite, a member of the Yelloh! Village network, set in a pine grove of about 9 hectares in Sanguinet, in the Landes. Lake Cazaux-Sanguinet and its Caton beach are about fifty metres away; Biscarrosse is about ten kilometres away, the Bassin d’Arcachon about twenty and Bordeaux-Mérignac around 60 km.
The accommodation offer is based on 18 rental units in total: mobile homes, cottages, fishermen’s cabins and pagodas, some with a private jacuzzi. The campsite aims to be calm and geared towards couples and families, with a heated aquatic area, a restaurant and an entertainment programme in season.
Opening period: the information is contradictory. The campsite’s website announces year-round opening, with off-season reception hours and a monthly rental option for professionals on assignment, but it publishes no winter dates or rates. The Yelloh! Village network, for its part, announces a season from 3 April to 19 September 2026, then reopening on 26 March 2027. The outdoor pools close on 20 September, and the grocery shop, bar and takeaway stop on 19 September. Before planning an autumn or winter stay, opening should therefore be confirmed with the campsite on 05 58 78 60 79.
The estate has several heated pools: a large outdoor pool, a spa pool reserved for adults with whirlpool baths, an indoor pool, a paddling pool and the Aquatoon water play area. Access is free during opening hours, from 10am to 8pm in summer and from 10am to 6pm in off-season. Swimming starts in April; from 20 September, only the indoor pools remain usable, with the indoor pool heated until the end of October. A massage paillote completes the spa area.
La Table du Domaine is the campsite restaurant, serving homemade cooking from short supply chains. It operates six days a week in April, May, June and September, and every day in July and August. The grocery shop, bar and takeaway are advertised until 19 September 2026. A laundry with washing machines and tumble dryers is available, as well as a linen kit, baby equipment and charging points for electric vehicles. Wifi covers the estate, chargeable except in premium accommodation. Conventional barbecues are banned, but gas planchas can be hired at reception. Bike hire is through a neighbouring partner.
Entertainment is designed for the summer season and stops around the end of September. It includes kids’ clubs by age group (5 to 7, 8 to 12 and 13 to 17), tournaments, gym and aqua gym, as well as wellness activities such as meditation or sophrology. The estate has a multi-sports court, table tennis tables and a pétanque court, and two play areas, one of them with water games.
Lake Sanguinet allows canoeing and kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and paddle yoga, with a provider that also offers trips to the Bassin d’Arcachon. A cycle path links Sanguinet to Biscarrosse through the forest, and a partner hires out standard or electric bikes. For sightseeing, the Musée du Lac and the Saturday morning market are in Sanguinet, the Hydravion Museum in Biscarrosse, the Marquèze ecomuseum in the Landes de Gascogne Regional Nature Park, and the Dune du Pilat about 25 km away.
Advertised from 3 April to 19 September 2026, then from 26 March 2027 (to be confirmed with the campsite). The campsite’s website mentions year-round opening, with no winter dates or rates published.
