Camping Rondin des Bois is in Rocles, in Lozère, in the Margeride region, at about 1,000 m above sea level. Rated 3 stars, it is 800 m from Lake Naussac, one of the département’s large bodies of water, with direct access from the campsite.
According to the Lozère tourist office, the site has 94 pitches: 68 unserviced pitches, 6 motorhome pitches, 5 mobile homes and 8 chalets. Pets are welcome. A pitch package is advertised at €24.50 to €29.90, plus tourist tax, with a 20% discount outside the season.
The campsite highlights its restaurant and its heated, in-ground outdoor pool. There is also a grocery shop, a laundry, a motorhome service area and Wi-Fi access, as well as a games room and a mini-golf course.
Opening period: this is a seasonal campsite. It is announced from May 2 to October 3, 2026, seven days a week, and is therefore closed in winter. An older description spoke of rental accommodation open all year round, but no current source confirms this: for a stay outside these dates, contact the campsite on 04 66 69 06 94.
The tourist office mentions a restaurant with a heated, in-ground outdoor pool, a grocery shop, a laundry, a motorhome service area and Wi-Fi. The pool operates only during the opening season, between early May and early October. Exact opening hours are not published.
The leisure facilities advertised on site are a mini-golf course, a games room, an adventure course and a mountain bike and BMX area. Lake Naussac, 800 m away, adds a water sports centre where you can go sailing and canoeing. Walkers will find the GR 700, the Régordane trail, about 8 km away.
