Parc de la Chesnaie spreads over 16 hectares at Autruy-sur-Juine, in the Loiret, about 45 minutes from Paris, Chartres and Orléans. Pithiviers is the neighbouring town. The estate has around 300 pitches spread over three zones, and is presented as a residential leisure park, rated 4 stars, more than thirty years old.
It works by mixing two groups of people: residents who own a mobile home or a chalet on a rented plot, and holidaymakers welcomed on a camping pitch, in a mobile home or in a rental chalet. The park says it is suitable for families and groups, accepts pets and welcomes people with reduced mobility.
On site there is a heated water park of more than 200 m² with a slide and paddling pool, two tennis courts, a multisports pitch, a mini-golf course, petanque courts, a games room for young people, an adventure course, a bar and a beauty salon.
Opening period: the website announces a park open from 1 January to 31 December, but a campsite open only from 1 June to 31 August, and states that it is not possible to live there all year round. The welcome of holidaymakers outside summer is not detailed: for a stay in spring, autumn or winter, you need to ask the campsite for confirmation before booking.
The park has a bar with a terrace, open during the day and in the evening, which serves drinks, ice cream and themed meals in season. A beauty salon on site provides hairdressing and massages. The reception point is open Monday to Friday from 10:30am to 6pm, and from 2:30pm to 7:30pm at weekends and on public holidays. An emergency number operates day and night.
The heated water park, of more than 200 m², brings together a large swimming pool, a solarium, a paddling pool and a slide. It is announced from 1 June to 15 September, from 11am to 7pm, weather permitting; children must be accompanied, and swim shorts are tolerated above the knee.
Shops and services are less than 8 km away, and neighbouring farms sell local produce. The park provides sports equipment at reception or at the bar: balls, racquets, golf clubs, books and board games.
On the estate, there is no shortage of sport: two tennis courts, a multisports pitch for football, handball, basketball and volleyball, two table tennis tables, a mini-golf course, several floodlit petanque courts, fitness equipment, giant chess and a library. The youngest have a room, a play area and an adventure course installed in 2024.
In summer, the entertainment programme changes every year: dance or fancy-dress evenings, karaoke, competitions and bingo, table football, pool or card tournaments, dance classes, a fête and a campfire evening for children.
In the surrounding area, within a radius of about 20 km, you can walk, cycle or ride, fish, or visit the Étampes leisure centre, the Angerville karting track or a chocolate workshop. Paris, Orléans and Chartres can be visited in a day, for example for the cathedral or the Maison Picassiette, and Pithiviers offers châteaux, a collegiate church and a transport museum.
Park announced from 1 January to 31 December; campsite announced from 1 June to 31 August (to be confirmed with the campsite for a stay outside summer).
