Les Îlots de Saint-Val is in Villiers-le-Morhier, in Eure-et-Loir, on the heights of the Eure valley, 5 km from Maintenon, 25 km from Chartres and about an hour from Paris by the N12 or by train. The campsite, a family business for two generations, has been rated a 3-star leisure campsite since 29 November 2022 and occupies a 10-hectare wooded park.
It has 157 pitches, some of them occupied by year-round residents. On the tourist side, there are 19 pitches without drainage, 65 comfort pitches and 33 grand comfort pitches, of 120 to 200 m², level, bordered by hedges and equipped with water and electricity, as well as 40 mobile homes and chalets, heated and insulated, where pets are not allowed. The campsite is rated Home Vélo and welcomes hikers and cycle tourists on two tent areas.
A significant part of the site is therefore occupied by year-round residents, who stay during the opening period.
Opening period: this is a seasonal campsite. The official website announces opening from 15 March to 15 November 2026 (16 November for the residential option), which means a closure from mid-November to mid-March. A mention of “business tourism” refers to the campsite for the dates and rates of rentals or touring pitches: any stay outside these dates is to be confirmed on 02 37 82 71 30.
The campsite has two spacious, heated washroom blocks, with large washrooms equipped with showers and basins. A motorhome service area with a Euro-Relais unit allows emptying and filling with water. Wifi is included in the stay.
The mobile homes and chalets are insulated and heated, and include a fitted kitchen, a sleeping area for the parents and another for the children, a bathroom with separate toilet, a fridge, a microwave, a television and a terrace.
On site there is also a multipurpose room, a recent children’s play area, a petanque court, a volleyball court and a tennis court. The website mentions supervised swimming in season, without saying where or presenting a swimming pool belonging to the campsite; the markets of Nogent-le-Roi (Saturday morning) and Maintenon (Thursday morning) provide supplies.
The campsite provides 500 m of private riverbank on the Eure for fishing, as well as petanque courts, a volleyball court and a tennis court. It is close to two major cycle routes, the Véloscénie (from Paris to Mont-Saint-Michel) and Saint-Jacques à vélo, and to numerous walking starting points, waymarked routes and GR trails. Horse riding, mountain biking, golf, canoeing, paragliding and microlight flying are among the leisure activities mentioned nearby.
