Les Prairies de La Mer

Les Prairies de la Mer is a residential leisure park in Favières, in the Somme, a few kilometres from the beaches of Le Crotoy and in the heart of the Baie de Somme. The site covers 6 hectares and has 164 plots marked out by living hedges, in a quiet countryside setting. It is above all a park where chalet owners rent their plot all year; part of the park is, however, offered to passing holidaymakers.

For rent there are fully equipped chalets with 1 to 3 bedrooms (kitchen, bathroom, television, barbecue), a lodge and motorhome pitches with a picnic table and a barbecue, with a waste disposal point in the park. Bookings are made by phone.

Opening period: the park is open all year, but only for its residents. For holidaymakers, chalet rentals and the motorhome area are announced from March 21 to November 1, and the water area from April 18 to September 26. The park is therefore not open to passing holidaymakers in winter. Reception is open from March to October from 10am to noon and from 3pm to 6pm, then in the afternoon only from November to February. The water area is the park’s main facility. It includes a large outdoor pool (one pool of 177 m² and another of 79 m²), a 6 m² paddling pool for children under 6, a water slide with a landing pool and a covered, heated pool of 79 m², kept at 26 °C. Sun terraces with loungers and parasols surround the pools, which are open from 10am to 8pm from April 18 to September 26.

A bar with a terrace serves ice creams and hot or cold drinks; it also offers Wi-Fi and TV games. Its hours vary by season: only a few afternoons in March and November, several time slots a day from April to June, in September and in October, and all day in July and August.

Bed linen is included in the chalet rental, and a welcome kit with cleaning products, toilet paper and bin bags is provided on arrival. A baby cot and a high chair can be requested, cleaning is offered as an option, and pets are accepted for a supplement per night.

On site, children have a playground with a slide and spring riders, a free table football and a table tennis area with racket loans. Sports fans will find a multisport court for basketball, football or volleyball, boules courts, a pay-to-play pool table and a fishing pond. Entertainment takes place in season: themed evenings, boules tournaments, and in July and August a dance evening on Saturdays and a lotto on Wednesdays.

Outside the park, the Baie de Somme offers more than 150 kilometres of cycle paths, walks, horse rides along the coast, kayaking, sand yachting and kite flying on the beaches at low tide. The Baie de Somme steam railway links several coastal villages.

Le Crotoy, Saint-Valery-sur-Somme, Quend, Fort-Mahon-Plage, Berck, Le Touquet, Stella-Plage or Le Tréport can all be visited in a day. These outings are best suited to the fine season, when the park welcomes holidaymakers.
