Overview

Camping de l’Aigrette covers 1.3 hectares in Attichy, in the Oise, 80 km from Paris and 150 km from Lille. A pond runs alongside the site, a few steps from the pitches. The surrounding area includes the Forêt de Compiègne, the Château de Pierrefonds, the Clairière de l’Armistice in Rethondes, and the forests of Élincourt-Sainte-Marguerite, Chantilly and Ermenonville.

Rated Tourisme 3 stars, the site has 48 pitches, with touring pitches and residential pitches. For rentals, there are mobile homes, caravans, lodges, a cottage, yurts and a large prospector-style tent that sleeps up to 8 people. The tipis previously offered have been removed.

The campsite is open all year round. Touring pitches can be booked in low season, from 1 January to 30 June and then from 1 September to 31 December, from €11 a night for one person and €15 for two, with an electricity supplement that rises to €4.50 in winter. The yurts, equipped with heat pumps, are rented all year round, and the prospector tent is announced as usable in all seasons. The minigolf and the snack bar, on the other hand, are seasonal.

Outside July and August, reception is open from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 7pm.

Wifi is free throughout the campsite. Two washing machines (11 and 16 kg) and two tumble dryers (11 and 14 kg) are available, along with washrooms, one of which is adapted for disabled visitors. The pitches have water and a 10-amp socket, a disposal point serves motorhomes, barbecues are allowed, a table tennis table is set up and dogs are allowed except in the rental accommodation.

The snack bar runs from May to September and the minigolf from April to September. Outside these periods, you need to head to the village centre, 1 km away, which has places to eat, a post office, a pharmacy, a newsagent-tobacconist and a library.

A heated indoor pool 4 km away stays open the rest of the year. The campsite had reported work on the summer pool: it is best to confirm before you come.

Activities & entertainment

🥾Hiking

On site, the minigolf remains the spring and summer attraction, along with pétanque and table tennis. The pond alongside the campsite allows fishing, provided you hold a federation or club fishing permit, with no reciprocity with other ponds. Outdoor tennis courts, which need to be booked, are nearby.

The area lends itself to outings on foot, by bike or on horseback: cycle paths and hiking trails start from the village, and the forests of Compiègne, Élincourt-Sainte-Marguerite, Chantilly and Ermenonville, along with a multitude of ponds, offer kilometres of paths. A riding centre, the Cavalerie d’Adonis, is very close.

On the cultural side, the Château de Pierrefonds, restored by Viollet-le-Duc, tops the list of visits, followed by the Cuisien geosite in Cuise-la-Motte, the discovery area of the Musée Territoire in Rethondes and the Clairière de l’Armistice in the Forêt de Compiègne. In the off-season, these forest walks and heritage visits remain the main activities, supplemented by the indoor pool run by the local authority group.
