Camping Les 2 Glaciers occupies a terraced site in Les Bossons, in the commune of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, at an altitude of 1,020 m and 3 km from the town centre. It is rated 3 stars and has 104 marked pitches, shaded or sunny, with electric hook-ups to European standards and lit main paths. The view takes in the Mont Blanc massif, the Chamonix Aiguilles and the Bossons and Taconnaz glaciers.
Besides pitches, the site offers a range of rental accommodation: traditional wooden chalets for 2 to 5 people, including a 4-person chalet adapted for guests with reduced mobility, mazots, log chalets, a bungalow and, in summer, mobile homes for 3 to 4 people. Exit no. 30 of the Route Blanche is close, a bus stop is 50 m away and the Les Bossons SNCF station 500 m.
The campsite is open almost all year round: it welcomes guests from 15 December to 1 November, with a single closure of about six weeks between early November and mid-December. The 2025-2026 rates are published from 18 December, with a winter period running until 2 May, and the chalets can be rented from 20 December. Mobile homes, however, are not offered in winter. Two washroom blocks are heated.
Off-season, the place mainly appeals to skiers and to fans of snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, with slopes 3 km away.

Several services are free: internet access, a drying and ironing room, children’s play equipment, hot water, a baby bath, a table tennis table and washrooms for disabled guests. Two heated washroom blocks serve the site, the main one having been completely renovated in autumn 2014. Three pitches and one washroom are adapted for guests with reduced mobility, the latter being stated as available outside the winter periods.
The washing machine (€6), the tumble dryer (€3.80) and the fresh morning bread are charged for. In winter, electricity costs €7 for 6 amps and €10 for 10 amps, and an additional parking space can be reserved for €6 between 18 December and 3 May. One dog is accepted at no extra charge; each additional dog costs €1 per day.
The campsite restaurant is stated to be open all year round; its page specifies opening from 26 December during the school holidays, New Year and February, then from 15 June to 10 September. It serves regional specialities and traditional cooking, a set menu of the day served at lunchtime only, a New Year’s Eve dinner with dancing, and a single set menu can be booked for groups of 9 or more. A snack bar (chips, ice cream, crêpes, panini) operates only in July and August.
There is no swimming pool: the fishing lake is 2 km away and the swimming lake 16 km. The Super U in Les Houches is 3 km away.
The campsite aims to be both active and contemplative. In summer, everyone builds their own stay, from a simple walk to serious mountaineering, with the tourist office, the Office de haute montagne and the Compagnie des guides de Chamonix as points of contact. A table tennis table and children’s play equipment are available free of charge on site.
On arrival, each guest receives a guest card that entitles them to discounts in the valley, for example at the Richard Bozon sports centre, the Alpine museum or the Espace Tairraz. SNCF trains are free for getting around the valley, and bus line no. 2 stops 50 m away, lines 1 and 5 at 250 m: you can reach Chamonix without a car.
In winter, the ski area extends across the whole valley and three slopes. The slopes are 3 km from the campsite, and all snow sports, snowshoe outings and cross-country skiing are possible; the site refers guests to the Chamonix and Les Houches ski schools (École du ski français) and to the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc for lifts. The campsite also mentions its own New Year’s Eve party on 31 December, open to all, with a gourmet dinner, dancing and party favours.
Campsite open from 15 December to 1 November; chalets bookable from 20 December; mobile homes not offered in winter.
