Overview

La Grange du Pin is at the place of the same name in Cuisiat, in the commune of Val-Revermont, in the Ain département, at an altitude of about 253 m. The site covers 20,000 m² at the foot of the Revermont, beside an 8-hectare lake. Bourg-en-Bresse is about twenty minutes away, Lyon about an hour and Geneva an hour and a half; access is via the RD 1083, between Bourg-en-Bresse and Lons-le-Saunier.

The campsite is rated 3 stars, holds the Camping Qualité and Home Vélo labels and has 82 classified pitches, about forty of them for tents, caravans and motorhomes. It also offers around twenty rental units for 4 to 8 people: mobile homes (Vacances 4/6 and 6/8 berths, Bien-être 6/8 berths, one model adapted for visitors with reduced mobility) and lodge tents (Impala, Masaai, Mokoro, sleeping 2 to 5).

As for opening, the listings of several tourist offices, updated in January 2026, state that the rental units are open from 1 January to 31 December, while the pitches accept guests from 1 April to 31 October. The canvas lodges are only offered in mid and high season. The official website does not detail this arrangement: it is best to confirm winter dates and rates by phone before booking.

Rentals run from Saturday to Saturday, with arrival at 4pm and departure before 10am; times vary depending on the period and the length of stay.

The campsite offers simple services, listed on its website: showers, accessible washrooms, Wi-Fi, television in some accommodation, air conditioning, a grocery and pets accepted (first and second category dogs are banned). The site is closed by an automatic barrier and secured at night, a service area is reserved for motorhomes, and the launderette, bar, barbecues, play area and a defibrillator appear in the tourist office listings. Bread and small grocery items are available on site, and fishing permits can be bought there.

A restaurant serving regional cuisine, with fried fish, Bresse poultry and côte de bœuf, is at 410 chemin de la Grange du Pin, right nearby; the campsite recommends it among the local restaurants, along with four other addresses in Cuisiat, Pressiat and Treffort.

Swimming takes place in the 8-hectare lake, where a supervised beach is signposted in summer; stand-up paddleboard hire is available and the lake is also good for fishing. The campsite does not advertise a swimming pool, and summer services (supervised beach, entertainment) apply only to the warm season. In winter the accommodation remains accessible, but it is best to check before coming what is still running: grocery, launderette, neighbouring restaurant or service area.

The lake is the site’s highlight: supervised swimming in summer, fishing, stand-up paddleboard hire and, for the more sporty, a treetop adventure course set up on the site, with prices from 25 €. Volleyball, basketball, football and petanque courts complete the offer, along with a children’s play area.

From mid-July to mid-August, the campsite organises low-key entertainment: walks, aquagym, table tennis, petanque tournaments, painting, exploring, treasure hunts and craft workshops for children. Radiocamping offers quizzes and challenges at the end of the day, and one evening a week is given over to karaoke. Throughout the year, the site also hosts events such as the All VW Family gathering in mid-September, the O’Xyrace cross-triathlon in late August and early September, and family reunions and private parties.

The Revermont can be explored on foot or by bike: the area has 26 waymarked mountain bike routes from 4 to 75 km, and the Home Vélo label guarantees a welcome tailored to cyclists. For sightseeing, the campsite mentions the château de Treffort, whose history goes back more than eight centuries, the Musée du Revermont and its botanical conservatory, and the Maison de Pays en Bresse open-air museum, subject to their opening hours.
