Camping Les Cimes is in Les Bossons, in the commune of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, on the Route des Tissières, at an altitude of 1,018 m. The centre of Chamonix is 3 km away, Les Houches is also 3 km away (with a supermarket), and the SNCF station is 700 m on foot. From some terraced pitches, the view takes in the two glaciers descending from the Mont Blanc massif.
Rated 3 stars, the site is partly shaded and has 70 pitches, plus four 31.4 m² chalets designed for four people. Pitches cannot be booked: guests are accepted on a day-to-day basis, with daily departures before noon. The chalets are rented by the week, from Saturday 4pm to the following Saturday 10am.
As for the calendar, the camping area is open from 1 June to 24 September 2026, while the chalets remain available all year round: the winter rate covers the period from 1 December to 31 March, and the months of April, October and November also appear in the price list. The chalets have electric heating, which makes winter stays possible. A weekend is possible on request. Dogs are not allowed in the rental accommodation.
The guest card handed out at the campsite entitles holders to free travel on regional trains between Servoz and Vallorcine, as well as discounts on the valley’s buses.
Skiing about 4 km from the campsite from December to March; cable cars in the Chamonix valley, reachable by bus or by train with the guest card.
The facilities are simple and well kept. The washrooms offer hot showers and include a room adapted for guests with reduced mobility (shower, washbasin, toilet). A coin-operated laundry has a washing machine at €6.50 and a tumble dryer at €3, and wifi is stated on the site, included in the chalets. A small play area for children is near the pitches.
At the entrance, a snack kiosk operates in July and August: homemade pizzas, breakfast with tea, coffee or hot chocolate, crêpes, ice cream, cold drinks, chips and hot dogs. Outside these two months, no food service is announced on site, and you need to plan your shopping in the valley, for example at the Les Houches supermarket.
Each chalet has two bedrooms (a double bed on one side, two single beds on the other), a kitchenette with dishwasher, induction hob, microwave with grill and coffee maker, a shower room with wall-hung toilet and heated towel rail, a sofa and a covered terrace of 16.25 m². Linen is provided. The campsite mentions neither a swimming pool nor a wellness area.
The campsite does not offer entertainment: people come for its location, at the entrance to the Chamonix valley, close to the Bossons glacier. The valley has more than 350 km of hiking trails, and the Aiguille du Midi (3,842 m), the Flégère (1,877 m) and the Brévent (2,525 m) are served by cable cars. The Montenvers train goes up to the Mer de Glace.
To get around without a car, two bus lines pass 30 m away (line 2, Les Tissières stop) and 200 m away (line 1, Les Montquarts stop), and the Mont-Blanc Express links the villages of the valley, from Servoz to Vallorcine. The guest card makes these journeys very cheap.
In winter, the slopes are about 4 km away, and the chalet rentals from 1 December to 31 March suit skiers as well as fans of other snow sports. The valley remains open to tourism all year round, including in autumn, and a Mont Blanc museum opened in Chamonix in July 2026.
Chalets open all year round, by the week (winter rates from 1 December to 31 March); pitches from 1 June to 24 September 2026.
