Les Cerisiers campsite, also known as Camping des Cerisiers, is located at 58 route de la Combe in Bessenay (69690), in the Rhône department. Unclassified, it is a small private site with about 19 pitches, run by the Chenevière family. An online guide mentions farm produce, and the town hall page lists the campsite among the accommodation in the commune.
The town hall states that the site offers plots rented by the year and the installation of leisure cabins for use as a second home. Part of the site is therefore used for long stays and not only for passing holidaymakers.
Opening period: no up-to-date opening or closing dates could be confirmed. An online guide gives an opening from 1 January to 31 December, but for the year 2018 only. Whether passing holidaymakers are accepted, especially in winter, must be confirmed with the campsite before booking, on 06 72 75 81 67.
The information available remains minimal: a laid-out site, pitches for stays by the day or by the year, and plots for installing a light leisure unit. The campsite does not publish a consistent list of services, and no swimming pool or food service is mentioned.
It is best to ask questions by phone before arriving, for example about water, electricity and washrooms.
Bessenay is a village in the Monts du Lyonnais, well suited to walks and bike rides in the surrounding countryside. The commune presents its accommodation and heritage on its website to help plan a stay.
