Seasonal campsite: our checks show it closes for several months a year. Check the opening dates before booking.
Le Bouquier campsite is set in a pine forest, about five minutes from the village of Caromb, in the Vaucluse, on the road to Lac du Paty. It aims to be family-friendly and quiet. From the site, the Dentelles de Montmirail are about a quarter of an hour away, and the summit of Mont Ventoux and the centre of Avignon about half an hour.
The site has 35 pitches, including 25 bare pitches of about 100 m², shaded and separated by hedges, with a water and electricity hook-up available for an extra charge. The other places are rental accommodation: mobile homes for 4 people (2 bedrooms) and 6 people (3 bedrooms), with a terrace and washroom facilities, as well as canvas bungalows for 4 and 5 people. The washrooms have been completely renovated and one block is adapted for people with reduced mobility. A pool, a grocery shop, a snack bar and a pastry service complete the offer.
Opening period: this is a seasonal campsite, not a place for a winter stay. Its website lists a closure on Friday 23 October at 11am, and the opening dates of the 2026 season are not published in detail: the start of the season in spring should be confirmed with the campsite on 04 90 28 00 57. The published rates only distinguish between low and high season, with no winter period.
The services are those of a small family campsite, without full restaurant facilities. A snack bar operates on site, with pastries offered for breakfast, and a grocery shop helps out with everyday items. A washing machine is available, and wifi is accessible. Pets are accepted for a supplement of 2 € per night, and the peace and quiet of the place is one of its selling points.
The pool is the main relaxation facility. The website does not state its dimensions, whether it is heated, or when it fills: it is therefore best regarded as a summer facility, and it is worth asking before a spring or autumn stay. For a swim elsewhere, nearby Lac du Paty has banks where people bathe, and the WaveIsland water park is in the surrounding area. A bike shed allows mountain bikes to be stored on the campsite.
As for accommodation, the mobile homes have their own washrooms and a terrace. The canvas bungalows, by contrast, are closer to a furnished tent. Rates distinguish a low season and a high season, which runs from the last weekend of June to the first weekend of September.
The campsite serves as a base for mountain biking and hiking. Mountain bike routes start at the gates of the site, including a loop through Caromb, Bédoin and Crillon-le-Brave, a loop towards Le Barroux and Lac du Paty, or a big day out on the south face of Mont Ventoux. For walkers, about forty hikes are listed around Caromb: state forest and balcony path over the Dentelles de Montmirail, a walk around Lac du Paty, a circuit around the Grand Montmirail.
For family outings, the Siprou park and the WaveIsland water park are among the places mentioned, as is the Saint-Hilaire chapel. Canoeing is possible on the Sorgue, between Fontaine-de-Vaucluse and L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. Carpentras, Gordes, Sénanque Abbey and Avignon with its Palace of the Popes can be reached by car. All these activities are best suited to the fine days, in spring, summer and autumn, during the campsite’s opening season.
Seasonal campsite: closure announced on Friday 23 October at 11am, start of the season in spring (2026 dates to be confirmed with the campsite), closed in winter.
