Overview

Le Catinat Fleuri is located at 100 chemin d’Eygliers in Guillestre, in the Hautes-Alpes, a short walk from the village centre and at the gateway to the Queyras regional nature park. The website states that the Unesco-listed Fort de Mont-Dauphin is 5 minutes away and that the resorts of Risoul and Vars are 20 minutes away. The place suits cyclists, paragliders and hikers as well as families.

The history of the property is a family one: a farm campsite in the late 1960s, then a restaurant, then a hotel that opened in 1980 and furnished chalets built in 1989. Today the business combines a 3-star hotel, chalets for 4 to 5 people and a campsite set in a large, tree-lined field. It has held the Home Vélo label since 2023.

The calendar needs to be read carefully. The campsite itself is seasonal: its rates run from 1 June to 30 September and it closes at the end of September. The chalets and the hotel, on the other hand, are offered almost all year round, with rates published from 1 December to 31 March and a single announced break for 2026, from the evening of 19 October to 11 November. For an off-season stay, it is therefore the chalet, not the pitch, that is the option to choose.

The chalets can be booked by the night, the week or the fortnight, which leaves room for a ski holiday as well as a spring or autumn getaway.

📶Free wifi
🧺Washing machine
🍹Bar
💆Spa
💧Balneotherapy
🍼Baby kit
🛏️Bed linen rental

On the campsite side, two washroom blocks serve the field. Parking is free, as are the bike garage and the covered motorbike shelter, a plus for touring guests. A washing machine runs on tokens, and the hotel has a bar. Massages are offered by appointment. The village, a short walk away, has shops, a market, restaurants and a cinema. The campsite does not mention heated washrooms; it only operates in summer anyway.

The chalets have a small private garden, free wifi and parking. On request, a raclette machine and a baby kit with travel cot, high chair and baby bath can be provided; an optional package at €9 per person includes made beds and towels. Pets are allowed for €3.50 per day. Guests also enjoy the hotel’s water and spa area, with an indoor pool, bubble loungers and seats, massage jets and a hammam, available for €5 per person per hour, a pleasant treat after a day on the slopes.

The outdoor pool, heated by solar energy, is free for campers and opens in summer, with dates given differently on different pages of the website (from June to September, or from May to October). The property also rents rooms for meetings and events, and the hotel serves a table-service breakfast, with gluten-free, lactose-free or vegan options.

🥾Hiking

On site, the campsite has a multisport pitch, with rackets and balls to borrow, pétanque courts including a covered one, a table tennis table and a play area. The property is a starting point for cycling, paragliding and hiking, in an area that links several valleys. The business puts cyclists first, with a dedicated welcome for an overnight stop as well as a longer stay.

Around Guillestre, the website recommends visiting the historic monuments and the small museums of local heritage, motorbike rides or walks, and the landscapes of the Queyras. 5 minutes away, Fort de Mont-Dauphin is Unesco-listed, and the resorts of Risoul and Vars are each about 20 minutes away.

Off-season, the programme changes: the resorts of Risoul and Vars, about 20 minutes away, welcome skiers in winter, and the return to the chalet can be extended with a session in the spa and hammam. The chalet rates published for April, May, October and November also allow spring or autumn stays. Massages by appointment complete the offer all year round, and children have a swing and a play area.
