Le Bois Dormant covers 16 hectares of pine forest in Quend-Plage-les-Pins, in the Somme; the beach is 900 m away and the centre of the resort 500 m. The campsite is rated 4 stars and describes itself as a site made up entirely of mobile homes: 566 pitches are residential, meaning occupied by owners, and only about twenty are intended for holiday rental.
Holidaymakers can book a mobile home with 1 to 3 bedrooms, in the standard or premium option, or an accommodation in the hotel-style village, with bed linen made up on arrival and breakfast as an option, by the night, for a weekend or by the week. The water area has two heated pools, a waterslide, a hot tub and two saunas, along with a fitness room.
Opening period: this is a seasonal campsite for holidaymakers. Mobile home rentals are offered from the Easter holidays to the All Saints’ holidays, and the 2026 rates for the hotel-style village run from 3 April to 31 October. Year-round opening applies only to owners of residential mobile homes. The campsite also announces an annual closure from 22 December 2025 to 1 February 2026. For a stay outside these dates, you need to call reception on 03 22 23 22 44.
On site, a restaurant-bar open to the public serves a brasserie menu, pizzas and takeaway dishes; it operates at weekends, on public holidays and during school holidays, and every day in July and August. The campsite also has a grocery shop with bread and pastries available to order, a coin-operated laundry and wifi.
The heated indoor pool, hot tub and saunas are announced from early April to early November; the heated outdoor pool, with its waterslide and paddling pool, opens only in July and August. Electric bikes can be rented by the half day or the day, and disposable bed linen, cleaning kits and children’s furniture are for sale or on loan. A room can be hired for events.
Children have a play area and a games room with table tennis, table football and pool; a kids’ club runs in July and August, with pétanque competitions for young and old. Shows are put on every weekend in the off-season and every evening in summer. Around the campsite, the website mentions the Bay of the Somme and Henson horse rides to the Marquenterre estate.
