Seasonal campsite: our checks show it closes for several months a year. Check the opening dates before booking.
La Pierre municipal campsite is run by the commune of Mélisey, in the Haute-Saône, at the gateway to the Mille Étangs plateau and the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park. The site covers 1.5 hectares and has 53 flat, green and partly shaded pitches, in a flower-filled setting. It is rated 2 stars.
Reception is in a small wooden chalet that also houses a television, a library and games. The washrooms include hot showers, hot-water washbasins, a washing machine, a baby-changing area and a cubicle fitted out for disabled guests. Four unrated holiday chalets for 5 to 6 people are rented separately through Gîtes de France. The atmosphere sought is that of a quiet site, without a big entertainment programme.
Opening period: this is a seasonal campsite. The commune announces opening from 1 May to 30 September (latest published period: 2025), with reception staffed every day from 7:30am to 11am and from 4pm to 7pm. The campsite is therefore closed in winter. Out of season, bookings go through the town hall secretariat, on 03 84 20 84 38, Monday to Friday. To find out whether the chalets are rented outside summer, you need to contact Gîtes de France or the town hall: no winter dates are published.
Facilities are simple. The washrooms offer hot showers, hot-water washbasins, electric sockets and a washing machine, with a baby corner and a cubicle adapted for disabled guests. The reception chalet has a rest room with television, books and games. Wi-Fi is available in the common areas, but deliberately not on the pitches. A bread service is possible on order. Motorhomes have an emptying point, free for any night paid for on site. Payment is by bank card, cash or French cheque. No swimming pool or catering is indicated on the site.
On site, guests play petanque, volleyball and table tennis, in an atmosphere described as family-friendly and without much entertainment. The campsite is in the Mille Étangs region, nicknamed little Finland, where many marked routes can be followed on foot, on horseback or by mountain bike. A 60 km tourist road links 14 stopping points. The Rose-Marie Daviot leisure area, in Mélisey, offers outdoor and water games. Further afield, you can see the Planche des Belles Filles, the Ronchamp chapel, the Fougerolles ecomuseum, Luxeuil and its thermal baths, or Belfort.
Seasonal campsite: open from 1 May to 30 September (latest published period: 2025, to be confirmed with the campsite), closed in winter.
