La Ferme du Colombier is a campsite on avenue Marcel Destors in Grandcamp-Maisy, in the Calvados department, about 800 metres from the sea. The grounds cover about three hectares and have 81 marked pitches, equipped with water, electricity and waste water disposal, for tents, caravans and motorhomes. Pets are allowed.
Grandcamp-Maisy is a fishing port on the D-Day coast, close to Omaha Beach, the Pointe du Hoc and Bayeux. The campsite can serve as a base for visiting the memorial sites and the beaches of the Bessin.
Opening period: online guides mention rentals open all year round, but one of them refers to seasonal operation, and none publishes precise dates. Year-round opening is therefore not confirmed: it must be checked with the campsite, on 02 31 22 68 46, before booking an off-season stay.
Each pitch has a water, electricity and waste water connection. Pets are accepted, on the pitches as well as in the accommodation.

The sea is about 800 metres away, and Grandcamp-Maisy offers its harbour, sandy beaches and coastal paths. The Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach and the American cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer can be visited by car in about twenty minutes.
The Cotentin and Bessin marshes, the Baie des Veys and the town of Bayeux round off the possible outings.
