Floral campsite is in La Coucourde, alongside the N7 trunk road, in the Drôme provençale. Exit no. 17 (Montélimar Nord) of the A7 motorway is 3.9 km away, the centre of Montélimar about 14 km and the Cruas nuclear power station 21 km. A bus stop is indicated 50 m from the entrance, and the ViaRhôna, the cycle route along the Rhône, passes nearby.
It is a small site, rated 2 stars: 28 pitches in all, including 14 unequipped pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, supplemented by mobile homes for rent. The managers emphasise its role as a stopover for A7 travellers, but also longer stays, with monthly rates on request.
As for the calendar, the official website states that the campsite is open all year round, with reception open from 11am to 7pm, Monday to Sunday. Rentals, pitches and the motorhome waste disposal point are therefore available in winter as in summer, with no closure announced. Off-season, the offer is aimed mainly at workers and employees travelling for work, for whom rentals and adapted rates are provided, as well as passing motorhome owners.
New management took over the site at the start of 2026, and the team presents it as a family campsite, with a pool, playground and light catering on site.
Hiking and bike rides on the Drôme’s routes, including the ViaRhôna, and trips to Montélimar, with homemade pizzas from Thursday to Sunday at the campsite.
The campsite relies on simple, practical services. A bistro service runs from 11am to 1pm, and in the evening, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, guests can pick up snacks and homemade pizzas, prepared all year round from Thursday to Sunday. Ice cream and drinks are also sold, on site or to take away, and a themed menu is offered once a month, announced on the establishment’s Facebook page. A small emergency grocery shop completes the offer, and bread and pastries can be ordered by giving notice the day before.
The washrooms are cleaned several times a day; showers and toilets are adapted for people with reduced mobility. A waste disposal point is reserved for motorhomes. Wifi is no longer available, as the campsite has chosen to remove it. Mobile home rental starts at €230 a week for four people, an unequipped pitch from €20 a night, and monthly rates are possible for long stays.
The pool is reserved for people registered at the campsite, and a playground awaits children. The pool’s opening dates are not published: it is best to ask before counting on it. Off-season, what matters is the reception open every day, the grocery shop and the pizzas on the extended weekend; the campsite does not say whether the washrooms or the rental accommodation are heated.
Floral campsite does not run an entertainment programme: guests stay mainly to explore the Drôme provençale. On its website, it offers route ideas for discovering the département, with twelve themed routes and a section devoted to hiking on the Drôme’s trails. The ViaRhôna, which links Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean, is ideal for bike rides, and walks along the river suit walkers.
Montélimar, a few kilometres away, is famous for its nougat; it can be reached by car, or by bus from the stop very close to the campsite. The town centre, its shops and its markets are easy to visit in a day. Lovers of scenery will then find the hills of the Drôme provençale, the hilltop villages and the lavender fields, an image very present in the campsite’s communication.
On site, children have a playground, and the pool is open to them, as to adults, for registered guests. Workers on assignment can stay 21 km from the Cruas power station, with the evening service and the pizzas. In low season, the campsite stays open for weekend breaks, stopovers on the way south and bike rides when the weather allows.
