Seasonal campsite: our checks show it closes for several months a year. Check the opening dates before booking.
Le Domaine du Bourg is at 4 chemin des Terriens, in Gannay-sur-Loire (03230), in the Allier, beside the Loire and a few kilometres from Moulins. The village has about 400 inhabitants and lies on routes such as the GR3, EuroVelo 6 and the Loire by bike. The natural campsite, of more than two hectares, holds the Home Vélo label.
It has 25 pitches and four rentals: two lodge tents, a tipi and a wooden cabin. The owners, Véro and Fred, also offer gîtes and guest rooms.
Opening period: the Moulins tourist office lists the natural campsite from 15 April to 15 October 2026. The campsite is therefore closed from mid-October to mid-April. The estate’s website says it welcomes guests all year round, but this applies to its gîtes and guest rooms, not the campsite. To book: 04 70 43 49 01.
The estate provides a large swimming pool, a play area with a hut, picnic tables and stone barbecues. Free wifi covers the site, bikes can be rented on site and the washroom block is adapted for guests with reduced mobility.
Motorhomes can empty their waste water free of charge. Bread, ice and tourist information are available on site. No catering is mentioned.
On site, a volleyball court, a pétanque court and a ping-pong table fill the sunny days. The riverbanks are good for walks or bike rides, and you can rent a kayak to paddle down the Loire.
Moulins and the neighbouring villages offer castles, churches, museums, gardens and wine estates. The estate’s hosts are happy to give advice on exploring the region.
