Seasonal campsite: our checks show it closes for several months a year. Check the opening dates before booking.
La Chapelle Saint Claude campsite is set on the eastern shore of Lake Annecy, in Talloires-Montmin, about 14 km from Annecy. It is run by a couple and is organised around a private beach that is grassy, quiet and shaded, which can be reached on foot from the pitches as well as from the mobile homes closest to the water. The site is rated 3 stars.
The offer includes marked-out pitches of around 80 m², all with a 10-amp electricity hook-up, some with a view of the lake or the mountains, and four ranges of mobile homes (economy, holiday, comfort and family, with 2 to 3 bedrooms). Twin-axle caravans and motorhomes are not accepted, and the campsite is not equipped for emptying motorhomes. Pets are allowed on the pitches, on a lead, but not on the beach.
Opening period: this is a seasonal campsite. The 2026 season runs from 7 May to 20 September, with reception open only during this period. The campsite is closed for the rest of the year, winter included. Bookings for summer 2026 opened on 11 December 2025, and promotional offers mainly concern late May and the month of June.
Around the campsite, the village of Talloires is about 1 km away with its small supermarket, bakery and several restaurants, and the supermarkets are in Faverges, 13 km away.
The washrooms include showers whose cubicles were renovated in 2024, separate toilets for women and men, a cubicle accessible to guests with reduced mobility, a baby area with a bath and changing table, dishwashing and laundry sinks, as well as washing machines and tumble dryers. Wi-Fi is charged. A bread and pastry depot operates from 28 June to 29 August, on order the day before at reception, and the beach snack bar is open from 4 July to 27 August, in the evening, closed on Mondays. The campsite also rents bikes and fridges of about 80 litres, on reservation and for a minimum of one week. Reception hours vary by period, with longer hours in July and August.
There is no swimming pool: swimming is in the lake, from the campsite’s private beach, which is only accessible during the opening season.
Lake Annecy is the main playground, with the water activities mentioned by the campsite, and a cycle path passes right nearby. The nearby Col de la Forclaz is known for paragliding, which the campsite highlights among possible outings. Hikes and walks around Talloires round off the stay, and the village tourist office is about a kilometre away. No organised entertainment is announced on the website. All these activities are mainly enjoyed in season, as the site is closed in winter.
Seasonal campsite: open from 7 May to 20 September 2026, closed for the rest of the year.
