Overview

Camping Caravaning de Salverte stretches across a wooded setting on the Normandy plain, in the commune of La Neuville-du-Bosc, in the Eure. Paris is about 1 hour 30 minutes away by road, the beaches 45 minutes, and the Boucles de la Seine Normande regional nature park is very close. The campsite’s website presents it as a 5-star site approved by VACAF.

The estate is first and foremost a residential park: 267 plots of 200 to 400 m² host mobile home owners, who rent their plot year-round. A touring offer sits alongside this clientele, with 18 pitches with electric hook-ups for tents, caravans and motorhomes, as well as five mobile homes sleeping 4 or 6 to rent.

On opening, the distinction is clear. Touring pitches can be booked all year round, by the night or for a longer stay, with a winter washroom block; the 2026 rates are published on the website. The rental mobile homes, however, are only available from 15 April to 30 September. Reception is open three days a week from October to March (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), and an on-call number is given for arrivals outside opening hours. Pitch bookings are made by phone only.

Off-season, the place suits motorhome and caravan travellers and quiet stays in Normandy, far from the bustle of the summer months.

Facilities vary greatly with the time of year. In winter, the essentials come down to pitches with electricity, a washroom block reserved for the cold season and an indoor tennis court open all year round. A children’s play area and a petanque court remain available, even though children mostly use them in fine weather. The campsite also mentions electric vehicle charging points.

The good weather brings the extras. From 15 May to 15 September, the heated indoor pool opens with its paddling pool, a sauna, an inflatable structure and a table tennis room. These facilities are inside the campsite grounds. From Easter, the food service and bar operate on Saturdays and Sundays, then every day in high season.

For rentals, the 4- and 6-berth mobile homes are equipped with air conditioning, a television, a coffee maker, a toaster, a kettle, a microwave, a barbecue and crockery, with pillows, mattress protectors and duvets, and a covered or enclosed terrace. Disposable sheet sets are sold for 5 € and a cleaning package is available (60 € for 4 berths, 80 € for 6). Pets are accepted with up-to-date vaccinations and on a lead. The facilities, apart from the rental accommodation, are stated to be accessible to disabled visitors.

On site, the campsite focuses on a mainly summer programme: aquagym, hiking, petanque tournaments and a theme meal every Saturday, followed by a dance evening. Children aged 5 to 12 have a club, teenagers have afternoon activities, and outings are organised to an amusement park, a canoe and kayak base, a treetop adventure course or a laser game. The 2026 season schedule is published at the bottom of the website.

The indoor tennis court and petanque operate all year round, which leaves a few options off-season that do not depend on the weather. Otherwise, the surrounding countryside is good for walks.

The Normandy setting offers plenty of sights. About 10 km away, you can discover the château d’Harcourt, the château du Champ de Bataille with its golf course and the abbey of Le Bec-Hellouin. Bernay and Pont-Audemer are about thirty kilometres away. Rouen, Les Andelys, Giverny, Honfleur and Lisieux are about 50 km away, while Étretat, Deauville and the Normandy landing beaches take roughly 100 km of driving. The Le Neubourg tourist office and the commune of La Neuville-du-Bosc complete the local information for planning a weekend or holiday stay.
