La Maladière campsite is located at the hamlet of La Maladière, in Port-sur-Saône in the Haute-Saône, on La Maladière island. It is run by the Terres de Saône community of communes and is part of a leisure complex that also includes a fallow deer park, a fitness trail and sports grounds. The town’s shops, supermarket, bakeries, butchers and restaurants, are close by.
The site has 100 pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, separated by thuja hedges that protect everyone’s privacy, as well as rental accommodation: mobile homes, wooden caravans and studios. Pets are accepted.
Opening period: the community of communes page announces opening from 16 January to 15 December 2026. The campsite is therefore accessible in the depths of winter, from mid-January to mid-December, and closes for only about a month, from mid-December to mid-January. For an off-season arrival, contact reception on 03 84 91 51 32 or at camping@cctds.fr.
The site suits stopovers on the road as well as longer stays in the Haute-Saône, in a quiet setting close to town. The pitches remain separate from one another, which suits families as well as motorhome travellers or couples looking for peace and quiet, including off-season.
Fitness trail and fallow deer park at La Maladière, bike hire, walks along the Saône.
The information published by the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté tourist board mentions two washroom blocks, including heated washrooms, a play area, a laundry, a TV lounge and Wi-Fi. The campsite accepts bank cards, cheques, holiday vouchers and cash.
As for accommodation, the community of communes offers mobile homes, wooden caravans and studios to rent. The pitches are separated by thuja hedges, which makes for a quieter setting than an open field.
La Maladière is also a leisure destination: bikes can be hired, and the neighbouring fallow deer park and the fitness trail can be explored on foot. For supplies, the shops of Port-sur-Saône are close by, including a supermarket and bakeries. Water facilities are not detailed on the campsite page: ask reception before booking, as well as about reception hours and the facilities actually available at the start or end of the season, when the campsite has just reopened or is about to close.
The La Maladière complex brings together a fitness trail, tennis, football and boules courts, and a fallow deer park next to the campsite. You can also hire bikes on site to explore the surrounding area.
Other sources mention water activities nearby, such as canoeing, paddleboarding and fishing, as well as a skate park. The campsite is a starting point for walks and bike rides along the Saône.
Outside summer, walks in the fallow deer park, the fitness trail and bike rides remain the easiest activities. For current events and outings, it is best to ask at the campsite reception, which answers by phone and by email. The shops of the nearby town mean you do not have to plan everything in advance, and the complex’s sports grounds remain open to burn off energy between two stages or after a day on the road.
