Aux Tonneaux

Aux Tonneaux campsite is located at Les Ferrages, in Méounes-lès-Montrieux, in the Var. Opened in the 1960s by a local family, it keeps the atmosphere of a traditional campsite, in a tree-filled park. The beaches of Hyères are about 25 minutes away, the Sillans waterfall 45 minutes, the Verdon gorges 1 hour 30 minutes, and the Paul Ricard circuit 28 minutes.

Three types of accommodation are offered: mobile homes for 2 to 5 people with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and air conditioning, shaded pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes with a 4-amp hook-up, and a service area for motorhomes. A restaurant, a bar, a pool, a tennis court and a sports area complete the site.

Opening period: this is a seasonal campsite. Guests are welcome from April to the end of September, with the service area operating from April to October. Outside peak season, mobile homes are rented by the night, with a minimum of 2 nights, in April, May, June and September. Pitch prices are lower in spring and September than in July and August. The campsite restaurant serves regional cuisine in the evening, from 7pm to 11:30pm, on a shaded terrace, and the bar opens from 9am to 11:30pm. A snack bar and a bread service complete the food offer. The pool, the gym, the tennis court and the sports area are available to guests; they are included in the price of the mobile homes. The washrooms offer hot showers, a baby bath, children’s toilets and facilities adapted for guests with reduced mobility. Washing machines, an ironing board and an iron are available, and the wifi is free.

The mobile homes have a fridge, hobs, a microwave, a bathroom with a toilet and a covered terrace with garden furniture. Bed linen and towels need to be brought or rented. These services only operate during the season, from April to September.

On site, you can swim in the pool, play tennis or work out in the gym. The surrounding area is ideal for walks and bike rides in the Provence verte, with the ten fountains of Méounes-lès-Montrieux and the Montrieux charterhouse a few kilometres away. The campsite is also a starting point for the beaches of Hyères and Toulon, about 30 km from the coast, for the Îles d’Or, the Calanques National Park and the Verdon Regional Nature Park. Thrill-seekers will find zip lines nearby, and hiking lets you discover the nature of the Var. Méounes-lès-Montrieux is best explored on foot: the village has ten fountains that flow constantly, one of which is listed, and the town hall dates from the beginning of the last century. A few kilometres away, the Montrieux charterhouse lies hidden in a clearing in the heart of the forest. These outings are possible during the campsite’s season, from April to September.
