Le Serre du Lac campsite spreads over three hectares in Chorges, in the Hautes-Alpes, 800 m from Lac de Serre-Ponçon and its beaches. It has been run since 1985 in a relaxed atmosphere. All the rentals, chalet-style mobile homes for 4 to 6 people, are air-conditioned, with a kitchen, bathroom and terrace, and electric heating for cooler periods; bed linen is not provided.
On site there is a heated pool with a jacuzzi and a paddling pool, a Riviera spa and relaxation area (sauna, spa, hammam, massages), a games room, a children’s playground, and a themed snack bar in the evening in season. A bread and pastry service operates in July and August.
Opening period: this is a summer-focused campsite. Rentals are offered by the week from 27 June to 5 September 2026, and by the night off-peak from 20 March to 27 June and from 5 September to 10 November 2026. The campsite is therefore closed from around mid-November to mid-March, nearly four months. The site specifies that rentals are not available outside these periods.
The heated pool, the jacuzzi, prohibited for under-16s, and the paddling pool are freely accessible. The Riviera Spa et Relax centre, with a sauna, spa, hammam and massage room, is used by the half-day, with private paid access at €25 per person. The campsite has two washroom blocks, a washing machine and a tumble dryer, a reception office, night-time security and paid wifi across the whole site. The snack bar La Payotte serves pizzas, mussels and chips, chicken, lasagne, burgers or local produce every evening, and a games room completes the offer. A webcam lets you see the campsite before booking. These facilities are described for the opening season, with no details for the off-season.
The entertainment programme includes a welcome aperitif on Sunday lunchtime, karaoke, aqua gym once a week with free access, as well as weekly aqua biking, yoga classes and laser game, all paid. Children have a playground and a games room. Around the campsite, Lac de Serre-Ponçon, 800 m away, offers its beaches, and the Hautes-Alpes department offers many sporting and cultural activities, according to the campsite.
