Five campsites are listed in Upper Corsica, two of which have a verified off-season opening: the Domaine de Riva Bella in Linguizzetta and Marina di Sorbo in Sorbo-Ocagnano. Only these two are presented as open all year round; the other three are a seasonal address or an opening to be confirmed.
In Linguizzetta, the Domaine de Riva Bella is a four-star site of 70 hectares, between a sandy beach and a protected lagoon, holding the European ecolabel. Its accommodation, reception and trails stay open all year round, precise dates to be confirmed. The restaurant and the 500 m² thalassotherapy centre, however, run at reduced capacity off-season, from Friday to Monday from early February to early April, then from November to 20 December, and they stop after that date. The llama park can be visited all year round, and the fitness room is open from early February to 20 December.
Near Bastia, Marina di Sorbo, two stars, publishes chalet rates for all twelve months of the year, with no closing date announced. The campsite has 157 chalets for 5 to 7 people, some adapted for people with reduced mobility, with a welcome in French and Italian and the Marina di Sorbo beach nearby. The exact welcome dates are to be confirmed.
Casa di Luna, in Galéria, on the edge of the Fango biosphere reserve, is open from 9 May to 3 October: it is a seasonal address. The Domaine de Griggione, in Piedigriggio, crossed by a river, has not confirmed its off-season opening, and the information available on Marina di Casinca is too thin to state anything.
Ask whether the opening applies to the accommodation alone or also to the services: restaurant, spa, activities. Check the heating of the chalets, then the ferry timetables if you arrive by boat. Book directly with the campsite, specifying your arrival date and the type of accommodation you want. Finally, do not rule out seasonal addresses: they are very well suited to a stay from May to October.
In Linguizzetta, the hiking trails of the Domaine de Riva Bella and the llama park can be enjoyed all year round. Off-season, the thalassotherapy centre offers treatments from Friday to Monday in February-March and in autumn, within the limits of its reduced hours.
From Marina di Sorbo, Bastia is nearby, with the neighbouring beach for a walk in the low season. In the north-west, the Fango biosphere reserve borders Galéria, where Casa di Luna organises canyoning, sea kayaking and climbing in the fine season. In Piedigriggio, the Domaine de Griggione gives access to hiking and mountain biking in the interior of the island, with a river running through the campsite for swimming and fishing in season.
The Domaine de Riva Bella also keeps its European ecolabel, and Marina di Casinca is on the east coast, not far from the Casinca vineyards: a possible detour for those staying in the region off-season, provided the opening has been confirmed.
Every open all year round campsite is checked against its official listing and real photos, not a marketing pitch.
We cross-check public Google ratings and reviews. An establishment below family standards doesn't make the selection.
