Domaine de Griggione

The Domaine de Griggione, which also goes by the name of camping I Nocelli, is located in Ponte-Leccia, in Haute-Corse, in the centre of the island. Its address is lieu-dit Domaine de Griggione T20, 20218 Ponte-Leccia. The site is described as quiet and shaded, with a river running through the property where you can swim, fish or relax on the bank.

The campsite has 47 pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, with water and electricity. Mobile homes are also available to rent, by the week. Two washroom blocks provide showers and toilets, and a washing machine is available. On site, a restaurant room with a bar and a pizzeria complete the offer, with breakfast by reservation and half board possible in the evening.

The location in the heart of Corsica makes it easy to explore in several directions: the Restonica valley is about 20 minutes away, Bastia 50 minutes, L’Île-Rousse 35 minutes and Porto-Vecchio an hour and a half.

Opening period: the campsite’s website does not publish opening dates. Only the mobile home rates are shown, for the months of April to September, which says nothing about a possible closure the rest of the year. The campsite focuses on simple comfort. The pitches have water and electricity, with a nightly charge for power, and two washroom blocks provide showers and toilets with hot water. A washing machine is available to guests.

For meals, the estate has a restaurant room with a bar and a pizzeria. Breakfast is served by reservation and a half-board option can be arranged for the evening. Opening hours and the menu are not detailed on the website, so you need to ask at reception.

On rates, the website shows a nightly price list: 7 euros per adult, 5.50 euros per child aged 2 to 12, free under 2, then amounts per tent, vehicle, caravan, motorhome, motorbike or trailer. The tourist tax is 0.20 euros. Mobile homes are rented by the week, from 300 euros in April to 550 euros in July and August. A booking is confirmed once a 30% deposit has been paid. No swimming pool is mentioned on the website.

On site, a petanque area and a table tennis table fill the days, and children have a large shaded area to play freely. The river running through the estate invites you to swim, fish or take a nap.

The campsite highlights two leisure partners: In Terra Corsa, which offers mountain sports such as canyoning and zip-lining, and the ranch U Niolu a Cavallu, for horse riding and hiking. The website also mentions hiking trails, kayaking and mountain biking among the activities in the region.

There is a wide choice of outings thanks to the campsite’s central position. The Restonica valley is about 20 minutes away, the Orezza valley and the Asco area 40 minutes, Lozzari beach 35 minutes, Solenzara an hour and Bastia 50 minutes. For longer days out, Porto-Vecchio can be reached in about an hour and a half. No entertainment programme is announced.
