Off-season opening not confirmed: check the opening dates with the campsite before booking.
Les Lodges du Bois Dodo occupy wooded grounds of more than 8 hectares at Septfonds, in Tarn-et-Garonne, in Occitanie. The site presents itself as a quiet address, away from the noise of the coast, for a family stay between the Aveyron gorges, the medieval villages of the Quercy and the Canal des Deux Mers. Toulouse is the main city of reference cited by the campsite.
The offer mixes accommodation and pitches: a 54 m² Luxury Lodge for five people, Glamping Lodges with or without a private bathroom, 25 m² Nature chalets, a family tipi, a transparent dome for adults only, and 40 large grassy, tree-shaded pitches with electricity, 8 of them with a private shower, washbasin and toilet. Bed linen is provided in some units, but not bath towels.
The owners promote local products (ice cream from the neighbouring farm, bread from the village, beer from a microbrewery in Caylus) and a sustainable approach: homemade cleaning products, composting, tree planting.
Opening period: pitches are open from March 1 to October 31 and not available from November to February. The Nature chalets are advertised “in all seasons”, but with no winter dates or rates published, and the general conditions mention only an opening from December 31 to January 1 for the lodge. Whether the accommodation is open off-season must therefore be confirmed with the campsite on 06 78 35 79 97.
The campsite has an outdoor swimming pool, a snack bar with ice cream, paninis, craft beer and cocktails, a bread and pastry collection point, a laundry room with a washing machine, showers and wifi. A children’s play area completes the offer. The website does not say which facilities operate off-season: the pool and the bar should be considered summer-only.
The accommodation is equipped according to its category: kitchenette or kitchen with hobs, fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee maker and utensils, terrace and garden furniture. Some lodges have neither shower nor toilet, others have a private bathroom. A deposit of 200 euros is required for the accommodation, with a cleaning supplement of 50 euros for the Luxury Lodge.
The reception office is open from 8.30am to 12pm and from 3pm to 9pm in season; off-season, guests are received according to campers’ needs, according to the general conditions. Twin-axle caravans and motorhomes are not allowed.
On site there is a pétanque court, a table tennis table, a table football, a basketball hoop, a trampoline, a children’s zip line, a play area and themed evenings (burger, paella). The campsite also advertises laser game and electric bike hire.
In the surrounding area, the campsite mentions the Aveyron gorges (swimming, canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, fishing), the via ferrata at Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, the water ski and wakeboard cable park 10 minutes away, the Bosc cave less than 15 minutes away, hiking and mountain bike trails along the Canal des Deux Mers, as well as the medieval towns and their markets (black truffle, Cahors wine, foie gras, melon). The Causses du Quercy Regional Nature Park and the Padirac chasm are also mentioned.
Pitches open from March 1 to October 31; opening of the accommodation off-season to be confirmed with the campsite.
