Le Patis

Le Pâtis municipal campsite is located on the route de Givry in Asquins, in the Yonne, on the banks of the Cure, about 300 metres from the village and its shops. The site is shaded and quiet, in a wooded area near Vézelay, with a leisure lake about two kilometres away according to one online guide.

It offers pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, with water and electricity hook-ups, as well as a motorhome service area. For rentals, two fully equipped wooden caravans each sleep up to five people, and bungalows are also mentioned. Guests are welcomed in French and English, and pets are accepted on the pitches.

Opening period: the Yonne tourist office states that the wooden caravans can be rented all year round, without giving dates for the pitches. Online guides announce opening of the pitches from 1 April to 1 November, but this information dates from 2021. Winter reception of tents, caravans and motorhomes is therefore not confirmed, and the list of facilities open off-season remains to be checked: it is best to call 03 86 33 20 14 before coming.

The washrooms are announced as heated, with hot showers, washing-up sinks and a laundry with washing machines. The campsite also has a meeting room, a children’s play area and a caravan car park.

Payment is by cheque, holiday vouchers or cash. There is no swimming pool: swimming, unsupervised, is in the river. No restaurant is consistently mentioned.

On site or very close by, the activities mentioned are fishing in the Cure, swimming in the river, table tennis and hiking. Children have play equipment on the site.

The campsite is a starting point for exploring the area around Vézelay and the north of the Morvan along the paths and minor roads of the Yonne.
