La Bergerie covers more than 3 hectares of woodland in Lanne, in the Hautes-Pyrénées, halfway between Tarbes and Lourdes, about ten kilometres from each along the RN 21. Rated 3 stars, the site has around a hundred pitches: more than 70 bare plots of at least 80 m², marked out, flat and grassy, and about twenty mobile homes scattered among the trees. Each pitch takes up to 6 people and 2 vehicles.
The campsite offers nightly stays but also long stays from one month, for pitches and rentals alike. Tents, caravans and motorhomes are accepted; twin-axle caravans are refused. Dogs are allowed on a lead, with an up-to-date vaccination record and within the categories permitted in public places.
As for opening, the website distinguishes two regimes: the campsite is announced as closed from 1 October 2026 to 1 May 2027, but stays open all year round for mobile home rentals and for residents. Part of the site is offered in the Confort range, geared to tourism; another part, in the Éco range, with older mobile homes, is aimed more at work-related or long stays. Reception by appointment operates from September to June, Monday to Saturday.
Trips to Lourdes, Tarbes, the Parc animalier des Pyrénées and the Pic du Midi; long stays from one month.
Reception handles check-in, the till, tourist information, a small emergency shop with souvenirs and a bread drop-off point. You can also buy stamps and postcards, laundry tokens for the washing machines and tumble dryers, and wifi tickets; the network covers the whole site but is paid. An iron and ironing board can be borrowed.
The mobile homes come with beds without sheets, crockery, cooking utensils, a gas hob, microwave, fridge, coffee machine and cleaning products, as well as garden furniture or a picnic table. The full inventory is handed over on arrival. They sleep 2 to 6 people, with one to three bedrooms.
As for washrooms, there are two blocks spread around the campsite, one of them heated off-season, with a cubicle for people with reduced mobility and a bath for children under 2. Water points are installed near the pitches.
In summer, the outdoor swimming pool is open from 10am to 8pm (swimwear compulsory, no shorts or bermudas), with sun loungers and a large playground alongside; late openings are possible on heatwave evenings. The bar, with ice cream, drinks, freezer service, television and library, and the snack bar, with pizzas and takeaway meals, only operate in the summer season.
The campsite focuses on outdoor games. The former tennis court has become a multi-activity court for mini-tennis, badminton, football tennis, mini-football and mini-handball. A table tennis table and a basketball playground are near the pool, a boules court behind the snack bar hosts weekly tournaments, and equipment (rackets, balls, boules) can be borrowed at reception.
In summer, evenings follow one another at the bar: karaoke, sports broadcasts, country dancing, disco, and tango aperitifs during the Tarbes festival. Every Wednesday evening, a themed meal, Spanish, Belgian, western or Bigourdan, is served outdoors or on the covered terrace. Mini-tournaments of petanque, mini-football, badminton or darts are organised, with video games at the bar as well. Evenings end around midnight.
In the surrounding area, the management mentions Tarbes, Lourdes, the Parc animalier des Pyrénées and the Pic du Midi, via the Grand Tourmalet. Off-season, the campsite’s activities are limited: the bar, the snack bar and the pool only reopen in summer.
Mobile homes and residents welcomed all year round; pitches from 1 May to 30 September (campsite closed from 1 October to 1 May).
