Seasonal campsite: our checks show it closes for several months a year. Check the opening dates before booking.
The municipal campsite of La Guillermie is run by the commune, a village of about 120 inhabitants in the Montagne bourbonnaise, in the south-east of the Allier. The commune covers a little over 12 km², heavily wooded, with an altitude ranging from about 520 to over 1,000 m: this is mid-mountain country, far from the main roads and the seaside resorts.
The commune has not published any description of the facilities. The only detailed information concerns the rates, which remain modest: €2 per person per day, €1 for a tent or caravan pitch, €1 for a vehicle, €1.50 for an electrical hook-up and €2 for a motorhome or coach, plus a tourist tax of €0.22 per person per night. The number of pitches, the washrooms and the booking conditions are not specified online.
Opening period: this is a seasonal campsite, announced from 1 May to 31 October. It is therefore closed in winter and you cannot stay there from November to April. To find out about arrival arrangements or to book, the simplest way is to call the town hall on 04 70 41 10 62, or to write to the address given on the commune’s website.
The village has several municipal or private gîtes for those who prefer a solid roof over their head.
The commune does not detail the campsite’s services. The rates mention an electrical hook-up, a welcome for motorhomes and coaches, and the collection of the tourist tax. Nothing is stated about washrooms, wifi, catering or shops: these points should be checked with the town hall before leaving.
The commune’s website does not present any activities specific to the campsite. The village lies in a wooded area of the Montagne bourbonnaise, well suited to hiking. The commune also mentions a calendar of local events and an active community life.
Seasonal municipal campsite: open from 1 May to 31 October, closed in winter (dates to be confirmed with the town hall).
