Camping et village vacances Le Lac belongs to the commune of Boulogne-sur-Gesse, a small town in the Comminges, in Haute-Garonne, between Toulouse, the Pyrenees and Gascony. It lies on the edge of the lake, on the outskirts of the town, and has existed for almost sixty years. The commune is labelled Station Verte, its Wednesday morning market carries the Marchés de France label and a Natura 2000 trail starts nearby.
The site combines two distinct activities. The campsite, rated two stars, offers 99 pitches of about 100 m² for tents, caravans and motorhomes, with many hook-ups available. The holiday village has 24 individual 35 m² chalets with a 15 m² covered terrace, for four to six people, two of them adapted for people with reduced mobility.
As for opening, the two parts do not follow the same calendar. The chalets can be booked all year round, including winter: the rules even provide for billing actual electricity use for stays from October to May. The campsite pitches are available from 1 April to 30 September 2026 according to the dedicated page, while the home page mentions a season from April to October.
A family-run site and VACAF partner, it also accepts holiday vouchers and offers preferential rates to employees of small companies.
Hikes including the Natura 2000 trail (1 h 30), Boulogne market on Wednesday morning, Saint-Gaudens food hall and visits around the Comminges.
Each chalet has a bedroom with a double bed, a bedroom with two single beds, a living room with a sofa bed and television, a fitted kitchenette (electric hobs, fridge-freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster), a shower room and a separate WC. The terrace is equipped with garden furniture and a barbecue. Bed, bath and household linen is not provided, and a cleaning package is available.
On the campsite side, the washrooms are fully adapted for people with reduced mobility and a free waste-disposal point is available to motorhome owners who book a pitch. The free wifi only works at reception, not on the rest of the site.
Water is at the heart of summer. The municipal pool, beside the lake, opens in July and August; entry is included in the rental of a pitch or chalet. It has three pools, a slide and a snack bar. The water sports centre and pedal boats complete the offer, along with a ten-hole mini-golf course on the lakeshore. Some facilities are announced from May to October, others only in July and August: it is best to check before coming off-season.
In Boulogne-sur-Gesse, the campsite recommends a local produce shop, several restaurants and the weekly market.
In summer, the team organises free entertainment every week: pétanque, basketball and volleyball tournaments, olympiads, quizzes, open-air cinema, meals and dance evenings, shared aperitifs. Children have a games room with table tennis and table football, board games and outdoor games to borrow, and the sports courts (basketball, table tennis, tennis, volleyball) are open from July to September.
The lake invites walks and nature outings, notably in the protected Natura 2000 area: the Côte de Biel et Moussé trail takes about an hour and a half and can be followed with the Rando Comminges app. Guided visits of historic and food-related sites are also offered, such as the Gallo-Roman villa of Montmaurin, the Aurignacian museum in Aurignac or farms raising Bigorre black pigs.
In the region, you can reach Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges, a medieval town nicknamed the Mont-Saint-Michel of the Pyrenees, the remarkable gardens of the Hillen pottery, the Demi-Lune leisure park in Lannemezan, a canoe trip or an alpaca farm. Lac de la Gimone offers a beach over 230 ha.
Off-season, the markets of the Comminges, the food hall in Saint-Gaudens and the hikes remain well worth the trip.
Chalets open all year round; campsite pitches from 1 April to 30 September 2026.
